Technical Background
The below is a proposal that will walk you through the technical requirements for
manufacture of a hydraulic log splitter. Once the requirements are established I will then
walk you through the cost projection process. The first portion of this report will show
you how the hitch specifications are established, what your output will be and the cost
associated. This proposal will show you how this company will custom fit your existing
or soon to be purchased tractor with a log splitter that will deliver the most output without
damage to your equipment. The second portion of the report will have a cost and timing
schedule.
Audience and purpose:
The technical report will be shown to each individual customer. Each report it customized
to your specifications.
Description of the Report:
The report will allow homeowners, farmers, and any tractor owner that would like to add
a log splitter to their tractor, to review the technical documents prior to the manufacture
of the custom log splitter. This technical report will contain all the data used to design the
final log splitter, all the cost with the manufacture and range of output and limitations, if
any.
Graphics:
The graphics used in the report will be pictures, charts, graphs, and possible video of a
working log splitter. The video will show operation. The graphs and charts will explain
how the design was derived. The pictures will represent purchased products used in the
manufacture of the assembly.
Technical Background:
The report will show all the engineering and design that went into the design and
manufacture of the log splitter and how it will work optional with your existing
equipment.
Report Outline:
The report will show how the log splitter is designed, built, performance and maintenance
for cost saving operation. A comparison of other manufacturers will be compared on cost,
wood output, portability, safety, maintenance, and operating cost.
