SAFE WORK PROCEDURES

CHAIN BLOCKS AND HOISTS

Chain blocks and hoists used in workplaces must conform to Australian Standard AS1418: Cranes, hoists and winches General requirements.
Slings, chains, hooks and fittings must be approved for lifting purposes and conform to the relevant specified Standard for the item.

5. Safe operation
Handling of loads

Refer to sling tables for safe load.

Use lift box or container to lift loose items (do not lift on pallet or plate).
