Course Title: ISO Standards and Excellence

Instructions:
a) This is a group project of three or four members.
b) You are required to study and analyze the quality manual assigned/chosen by your group and
submit a detailed audit report. The report must be typed and professional.
c) There is no word limit for the project work. However, you are expected to provide detailed and
sufficient key information.
d) The assessment carries 30% of the total weightage. This will be broken down into 20% report and
10% oral defense.
e) Use HCT report formatting guidelines

Use concise and proper English vocabulary and grammar

g) Check your work using Safe Assign prior to submitting it to BBlearn


h) HCT is committed to creating a learning environment that is honest and ethical, and as such,
academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. Academic dishonesty includes cheating, plagiarism
(copying) or any other attempt to gain an academic advantage in a dishonest or unfair manner.
Breaches of the Academic Honesty Policy will result in dismissal from HCT.

PROJECT GUIDELINES

You have been hired as an Independent Auditor for the purpose of awarding ISO certification. As your
principal responsibility, you are required to perform a registration audit, document review in specific. You
will be responsible for performing a thorough analysis with a specific focus on the organization.
You are required to perform the following tasks:
a) Understand what the organization does, how it operates and summarize relevant and important
information about the company
b) Conduct an audit of the given QMS to verify if it meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2008
c) On the basis of your findings, propose recommendations for improvements if the given QMS does
not meet the requirements. Also, make appropriate recommendations (see below) as well as
recommend an appropriate certification plan for the company.
d) Prepare an audit report that must include, but is not necessarily limited to the above.
