Contribution of Course to Meeting the Professional Component

The course contributes to build a full understanding to the ac and dc motor drive systems which are used in many
applications. This course cover basic concepts of different electric machine drive configurations in order to evaluate its
suitability for wide range adjustable-speed control of industrial and commercial applications. All the important aspects of
electric motor drives in terms of modeling, analysis and control design based on the advanced controller and high-effeicient
power converters are offered in this course to be up-to-date with the advancement in the adjustable variable-speed drives.
