International Petroleum Economics Monthly (IPE)

Oil Distribution & Retail 2009
With the support of key authorities, the 2nd Annual Oil Distribution & Retail 2009
will be convened on the 11th - 12th of June 2009 in Beijing, China. This event is jointly
organized by International Petroleum Economics Monthly and Global Leaders
Institute.
With the furthering of economic globalization, emerging markets like China and
India have brought Asian economy a great surge, which becomes a significant
force accelerating the increase of global petroleum supply and demand. In face
of tremendous market potentials, international oil giants speed up to expand
their business into Asian emerging markets after their large-scale restructuring
and business integration.
Oil distribution and retail is the last important process achieving the success of
petroleum industry value chain. Facing the gradually opening market and fierce
competition, many farseeing leaders and experts in this industry are focusing on
the tough problems such as how to decrease market risks under strongly
fluctuating oil prices and the constantly changing oil markets, how to utilize
advanced facilities and modern information technologies to improve enterprise
business management and enhance enterprise developing foundation, how to
optimize resources allocation, rationally plan marketing network layout and
realize optimum logistic operations as well as how to advance services into
facilitation and diversification and promote international competitiveness
effectively.
As one of the most potential developing countries, the Peoples Republic of
China is actively promoting its market-oriented reform process of its oil
products market. On Jan. 1st, 2009, China will implement its new oil tax reform
plan. Therefore, we decide to hold 2nd Annual Oil Distribution & Retail 2009
in Beijing, China, making our efforts to forge this international face-to-face
networking platform for elites in this field. This conference will mainly discuss
the Asian refined oil demand and supply, the refined oil pricing reforms, the
innovation and development of service station management, the establishment
of modern information systems and the improvement of supervision systems,
optimum packages of refined oil logistic operations as well as the development
of non-fuel business , etc.
We sincerely invite you to participate in this international conference. This high-level
event will provide you chances to communicate with leaders, senior government
officials and authorities in global refined oil industry as well as allow participants to
gain valuable insight into new frontiers of Asian oil distribution and retail industry.
