hain were occasionally not played back according to the gate time setting.
- Fixed a problem that when a phrase longer than a section was assigned to the s
ection and some of the subsequent sections were set to a different time signatur
e, phrases for the subsequent sections were sometimes deleted.
For example:
If section A's length was 4 and the time signature was 4/4, and section B's leng
th was 4 and the time signature was 1/4, phrases for section B and the subsequen
t sections disappeared when assigning a phrase longer than a length of 4 to sect
ion A,.
- The default setting for the ARP1 (Arpeggio 1) Type in the Mixing Part Edit mod
e has been changed to the Arpeggio type gMA_Pf Arpl, h which is suitable for the Vo

- The MOTIF XS now stops communication with MOTIF XS Editor temporally and the e
ditor now shows a message when entering the Sampling mode from the MOTIF XS whil
e the device and the editor are connected online.
- Fixed a problem in which noise was produced when a fade-out was started using
the Keybank Job g07: Fade In/Out h in the Sampling mode.
- Fixed a problem in which notes were sometimes inserted to the first measure ev

<V1.04 to V1.05>
New features;
In the Voice Edit mode, the methods for switching an Element on/off (Owner's Man
ual page. 97) and for switching on only the Element to be edited (Owner's Manual
page. 97) have changed.
- The method of selecting an Element to edit in the Voice Edit mode has not chan
ged from the previous version. However in V1.05, you can always use the number b
uttons [1]-[8] to select an Element, regardless of the state of the [MUTE] butto
n and [SOLO] button indicators. In V1.05, the [1]-[8] buttons indicate the Eleme
nt being edited, and the [9] to [16] buttons indicate the on/off status of Eleme
nts 1-8.
-To switch each Element on/off, turn the [MUTE] button on, and then use number b
uttons [9]-[16].

Use number buttons [1]-[8] to select the Element you want to edit
Use number buttons [9]-[16] to turn each Element on/off
- If you want to turn on only the Element you're editing, press the [SOLO] butto
n to turn it on, and then press a number button [1]-[8] or [9]-[16]. For example
if you want to turn on only Element 1 and edit it, press the [1] or [9] button
to make the [1] indicator light and the [9] indicator flash.
Use number buttons [1]-[8] / [9]-[16] to turn on only the Element you wa
nt to edit
In the Song mode Track View screen (p.181) and in the Pattern mode Play screen (
p.208), you can now use the Category Search function to select a Voice.
- In the Song mode Track View screen (p.181) or the Pattern mode Play screen (p.
208), press the [CATEGORY SEARCH] button; the indicator will light, and the Cate
gory Search screen will appear. This means that you can use the same method as e
xplained in "Using Category Search" (Owner's Manual page.24) to select a Voice f
or the mixing part that corresponds to the currently selected track. When you pr
ess the [CATEGORY SEARCH] button once again, the indicator will go dark and you

When you enter Sampling mode from Song mode or Pattern mode, the following new f

recorded sample will automatically be created when sampling ends.
- The setting "meas" (measure) has been added as a Trigger Mode. (p.246)
This enables the Punch In/Out parameter located below Trigger Mode. If you selec
t "meas" as the trigger mode, sampling will automatically start when the Song or
Pattern playback reaches the specified punch-in measure, and sampling will auto
matically end when the Song or Pattern reaches the specified punch-out measure.
In the File mode Save operation (p.279) when you open the Input Character screen
, the name of the currently selected file will now appear as the default in the
editing area (p.82).
-This is more convenient, since if you have selected a file ahead of time, you w
