Introduction
The main goal of English course in high school is the
students management of the four communicative
language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
This book has been designed to help students grow in
their English knowledge and its proper use for personal
and public reasons. Based on previously learned skills,
learners are moved to develop their social linguistic
communicative competence learning more about basic
grammar, and expanding their vocabulary in social
communication.
In the exercises students are asked to participate
actively whether individually or in groups. Interaction is
emphasized as both, the means and the ultimate goal of
learning a language.
They talk about every day topics in English, and short
talks in family situations using basic conversational
strategies on dialogues.
The dgb Syllabus marks the following topics for this
level:
Block I. Personal information about myself and other
people.
Block II. Describing routines.
Block III. Talking about what it is happening.
Block IV. Doing a supermarket list.
At the end of every block, students have a Self Test
which could be used as acumulative work. Beside there
is a personal evaluation about accomplishments and
attitudes for individual improvement.
The author wants this book be an actual help for
teachers and students, and she is looking forward your
comments and advices for further works. Please contact

INTRODUCCIN
buen aprovechamiento.
