EXCELAIR RSRL Terminal Housing Boxes are ideal for clean room applications for supplying Laminar
flow air to provide clean air. EXCELAIR Terminal Housing boxes are compact in design and easy to
install. It has Provision for easy connection to the duct. Installation of box is so easy by using the
fasteners and duct connection is through the flexible ducts or some other duct connectors. Terminal
Housing Box with Top opening with Damper control is also available.
The Housing Box shall be designed according to the Airflow & Velocity requirements.

Construction Details & Features of Housing Box

Construction:
EXCELAIR Terminal Housing Box is made up of MS / GI Sheets with powder coated finish. The hood
shall be made up of Stainless steel upon request.

Duct Connection
The hood shall have an integral duct connected spigot in the side to connect to the flexible duct easily.
The spigot diameter shall be 200 mm, 250mm or 305mm. The hood shall have an opening option
at the top. It may be round or rectangular spigot provision with flanges to connect to the duct easily.

Installation
The Terminal hood shall have the side Hanging Tabs, permanently welded with the hood, having 10
mm Dia hole to fasten it. The hanging tabs are to hang with threaded rods or to fix with some HVAC
work place in operation theatre.

Filter Installation
The hood shall have a channel to fix the Hepa filters and the filters clamped with help of SS fasteners
with the box. Filter Replacement is from the front side of the housing box by removing the socket
and the fasteners.

Filter selection
The Hepa filter shall be selected as per the Clean room standard ISO 14644 to ensure the quality of
High efficiency filter.
The operating maximum velocity of the filter is 100 fpm. The Filter dimension is based on the Airflow.
For selection of filters, contact the factory.

Air Distribution Plate

The Terminal hood shall have distribution plate made up of SS / MS, located in the Plenum inlet collar,
to diffuse the air as it enters the plenum ensuring uniform airflow through the filter.

Diffuser / Diffusion Plate / Grille

The Diffusion plate shall be perforated Mirror finish Stainless steel sheet having 40% open area. The
corners of the plate is hemmed. The diffuser is easily mountable for the replacement of the filters
directly from the room side. The Diffuser shall clamp with the Hood by Stainless steel screws. 4-way
Extruded Aluminum Powder coated diffuser and swirl diffuser shall be fixed as an option.

Pressure Measurement Test Port

A Test port shall be provided adjacent to the knife edge and shall be accessible from the room side
of the hood while the filter is installed and the grille is removed. The test port shall be designed to
measure final pressure drop for the replacement of the filters. The Housing box shall be supplied with
Differential Pressure Switch too.

Testing & Quality Check

All the hoods shall be visually inspected and tested as per the standards for leak proof.

The Filter Replaceable Terminal Module RSRL is designed for applications that require frequent filter
testing and routine cleaning procedures as in hospitals, surgical rooms, pharmaceutical firms and
biotechnology Cleanrooms.
The Filter is easy to install, change and provides an optimum service life. A gel seal between the filter
and hood eliminates any by-pass of air leakage.
The RSRL module shall have the filter depth range from 66mm to 150mm profile depth.
