This course introduces concepts, theories, methods, and findings related to problem solving, reasoning, judgment, decision-making, and social problem solving. Students will learn through interactive lectures, tutorials involving demonstrations and discussions, and self-directed study. Assessment includes quizzes, papers analyzing problems and solutions, a group project applying course concepts to real-world problems, and tutorial participation. The goal is for students to understand the knowledge base of problem solving, be equipped with research methods, develop critical thinking skills, and apply theories to daily issues.
