READING

(20 points)

G. Read the article about Recycling. Based on the reading give complete and
exact answers.
Recycling
Unless you buy recycled products you are not recycling
Our planet, Earth, has given the human being all he has wanted. It has provided
him with the food and energy needed to survive. Man, in turn, has profited from it
carelessly, and the planet has been seriously damaged from his actions.
Fortunately, and hopefully, we still have time to save our planet, but we must all be
more conscious of what we can do to help.
Recycling is one way to help, and it is in the hands of each one of us. As
consumers, we are also potential producer of pollution and destruction therefore we
should all be informed about how to recycle.
When you recycle, you treat things that havealready been used so that they can be
used again. But not all similar materials are equally recyclable, and certain care
must be taken to make them recyclable. The following simplified guide informs
consumers about some things they should know to make recycling a positive
contribution to the preservation of our planet.
Plastic
Most plastic can be recycled, but you must keep in mind the following aspects:
There are different types of plastic, and it is difficult to identify them by sight
or touch.
When recycling plastic, the different types cannot be mixed because with
only small amounts of different types of plastic, the process con be ruined.
The plastic industry has developed markers to identify the different types of
plastic. As consumers, we should classify only those recommended by the
local recycling agency.

Glass, Steel, Aluminum Cans and Foil

Glass, steel (or tin) and aluminum are easy to recognize and recycle.
Glass bottles must not be mixed with other types of glass such as windows,
light bulbs, mirrors, glass tableware, Pyrex or glass.
Mixed color glass is almost useless, and broken glass is hard to sort.
Empty metal cans, caps and foil are useful material for recycling.
Cans with paint or hazardous waste, are not appropriate.
Paper
Most types of paper can be recycled. Newspapers have been recycled
successfully for decades. Recycling of other paper is just starting to become
common.
The key to recycling paper is to collect large quantities of clean, well-sorted,
uncontaminated and dry paper.
If cardboard is not collected from your house, you can take it to supermarkets
or businesses that handle large quantities of them.
Contaminated cardboard, like greasy pizza boxes, is not acceptable.
Paper products that are not pure such as stickers, milk cartons, laminated
paper or thermal fax paper should be classified as recyclable paper.
Any paper that is wt or stained with food is not recyclable.
Other objects
Certain everyday objects have to be handled with care when dumping them.
Household toxics such as paints, oils, solvents and cleaners and motor oil
must never be dumped in drains.
Laser/Ink printer cartridges must be sent to recyclers or refillers.
Computers, eyeglasses and other household goods should be donated to
charity instead of dumping them in the trash.
41-42. Who is responsible for recycling? Why?
..Each one of us is responsible for recycling, because we all live on the
planet and therefore we must take care of it as this is our home
43-44. What makes recycling a complex process?
The things that makes recycling very complex is that there are a lot of
items that can be recycled but it is very difficult to classify and a bad
classification can make that all stuff get damage..
..
45-46. What problem does the plastic industry have with recycling plastic?
.The problem is that there are many types of plastics that can not be
mixed and they are very similar and it is therefore difficult to differentiate..
47-48. What is the most important thing to keep in mind when recycling paper?
When recycled paper is contaminated with grease or whether
any chemical the paper is useless...
49-50. List three basic things you can do every day to recycle in an effective way.
I could try not to contaminate the paper with grease.
I could classify the materials in different covers.
I could use newsprint for homework instead of new paper

_____THE BEST WAY TO LEARN ENGLISH AT DISTANCE _____

____There is a lot of college students who have chosen to study at a distance, from
they, there are a large percentage who are studying English, this is due to the easy
way to access and the many benefits that gives this study modalities because
many of them are students that finance themselves their studies and therefore need
to work part time in order to sustain, however this type of distance learning is very
effective as it provides communication facilities through virtual classrooms and
teaching materials that can be posted in these sites and also is possible request
help to the other students and teachers working through forums that can be placed
in virtual classrooms., also the working guides that are used are very good, easy to
understand and not very long, then we believe that a good use and distribution of
student time make this form of study to be successful, we recommend this form of
study for students of any age who want to become professional ,In This way the
