2015 JCI Global Partnership Summit

Collaborating for a Sustainable Future

July 28 to 31, New York City, United States
"Youth should be given a chance to take an active part in the decision-making of local, national and global
levels."
-United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

The world faces great challenges and opportunities. In response, international leaders will unite to adopt
the next global development agenda this September at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City,
USA. 2015 marks a year of milestones, with the deadline of the Millennium Development Goals, as well
as the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals. These upcoming pivotal moments allow us to
visualize our involvement in providing sustainable solutions to these issues in development. As Individuals
increasingly hold stronger roles in the progress of communities, governments and businesses ignite
opportunities for everyone to create shared value and create positive sustainable change.
The 2015 JCI Global Partnership Summit will unite all sectors of society to discuss important issues
facing the world and serves as a catalyst for all sectors to accept responsibility and act. Young active
citizens are mobilizers in creating sustainable impact at the local level, and throughout this event,
participants will identify action steps to create positive change looking toward the future through 2030.
In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the JCI Movement and the 70th Anniversary of the United
Nations, join us July 28 31 in New York City, USA for the 2015 JCI Global Partnership Summit. This
event is ensured to be a momentous occasion to set forth the future of creating sustainable impact.

Resolution of the 2014 JCI Global

Partnership Summit
We, the delegates of the 2014 JCI Global Partnership Summit, recognize the pivotal year of 2015, as we
meet here in the United Nations Headquarters. Not only does this year mark the 100th Anniversary of the
JCI Movement, but also the target deadline of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and launch of
the post 2015 development agenda.
Conscious of the challenges that the world faces, JCI reaffirms the organizations commitment to
collaboration, engagement and sustainable development. The creation of this resolution presents the
opportunity for JCI to appeal to partners at all levels, stakeholders from all sectors of society and active
citizens from all corners of the world to take action, and respond to injustice and conflict in a constructive,
positive and peaceful manner.
As active citizens dedicated to global development, and inspired by our collective commitment to advance
the MDGs by the 2015 target deadline, we the delegates commit to the following:

1. Facilitate the creation and distribution of a report at the 2015 JCI Global Partnership Summit to
partners, members and communities showcasing the success of 100 projects conducted by JCI
National and Local Organizations to advance the MDGs.

2. Reaffirm our commitment from the 2013 JCI Global Partnership Summit Resolution to complete
10,000 MY World surveys by September 2015, and further expand our commitment by
significantly increasing the number of JCI MY World forums and surveys conducted in local
communities lending a voice to people around the world in shaping the post 2015 development
agenda.

3. Hold a workshop at the 2014 JCI World Congress in Leipzig, Germany to outline strategies for
engaging and collaborating with governments, businesses and the civil society to work together
toward universal peace, and also encourage Local and National Organizations to conduct similar
workshops in their communities.
As we embark on our journey to 2015 and beyond, we make these commitments to ensure the voices of
young people are heard in the creation of the post 2015 development agenda and to realize our shared
vision of global peace and stability as we JCI, celebrate 100 years of impact.
Dated this 25th day of July 2014 in New York, New York, United States of America.
