The effect mobile phone radiation has on human health is the subject of recent interest and study, as
a result of the enormous increase in mobile phone usage throughout the world. Eos Mobile offers the
latest smartphones and feature phones on the market from brands like Apple, Samsung, LG and
HTC. Mobile phones are a prime example of this, as they provide students with access to texting,
games, social media and the internet. Overall, a median of 80% of mobile phone owners across the
seven sub-Saharan countries surveyed say they do this with their phones.

communication tool to a multimedia tool, often adopting the name mobile device rather than
being called a phone at all. At AJ+ we deliver our news solely on social media and mobile platforms,
so it's only natural that we also capture breaking news with mobile phones.
developed world these have now overtaken the usage of earlier mobile systems but in the developing

We disregard the numerous studies showing the dangers of cell phone conversations while driving.
The margin of sampling error for smartphone owners who completed 10 or more surveys is plus or
minus 4.0 percentage points. All findings in this report are based on respondents who completed 10
or more surveys over the course of the week-long study period (n=1,035).
Today nearly two-thirds of Americans own a smartphone, and 19% of Americans rely to some degree
on a smartphone for accessing online services and information and for staying connected to the
world around them either because they lack broadband at home, or because they have few
options for online access other than their cell phone. Cellphones are by far the fastest growing
source of electromagnetic energy in the world around us. Freestyle Contracts: Based on a 24 month

Because phones have become mobile media devices, the most desirable aspect is a large, clear, highdefinition screen for optimal web viewing. As researchers studying the economics of education, we
conducted a study to find out what impact banning mobile phones has had on student test scores in
subsequent years. Medians of about two-in-ten or less of mobile owners say they get political news
(21%), access social networking sites (19%), get information about health and medicine (17%), look
or apply for a job (14%), or get consumer information such as prices and product availability (14%)
on their phones.
The highly educated are particularly likely to own cell phones and smartphones. So whether it's a

comparison of epidemiological study results with incidence trends in the United States.
Researchers from the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology in Spain are conducting
another international study Mobi-Kids to evaluate the risk associated with new
communications technologies (including cell phones) and other environmental factors in young
people newly diagnosed with brain tumors at ages 10 to 24 years. The U.S. Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) states that, although some studies have raised concerns about the
possible risks of cell phone use, scientific research as a whole does not support a statistically
significant association between cell phone use and health effects. Also, controls who did not or
rarely used cell phones were less likely to participate in the Interphone study than controls who used
cell phones regularly.
These figures for overall smartphone ownership/usage were collected via telephone survey to make
them consistent with past Pew Research Center measurements of smartphone adoption. Basic
findings on smartphone ownership and demographics within the U.S. adult population (the first
section of Chapter One) are based on telephone surveys conducted December 4-7 and 18-21, 2014
among 2,002 adults. This analysis offers new insights into how smartphone owners interact with
their mobile devices on a day-to-day basis: the features and apps they use; the locations where that
use happens; the issues or problems they use their phones to solve; and the emotions they feel as a
result.
Mobile news consumption is common even among older smartphone owners, who tend to use these
devices for more basic activities. Young adults (85% of whom are smartphone owners) are also
incorporating their mobile devices into a host of information seeking and transactional behaviors.
Lower-income smartphone owners are especially likely to use their phone during a job search.
Nearly half (48%) of smartphone-dependent Americans have had to cancel or shut off their cell
phone service for a period of time because the cost of maintaining that service was a financial
hardship. Indeed, 7% of Americans own a smartphone but have neither traditional broadband
service at home, nor easily available alternatives for going online other than their cell phone. An
experience sampling of smartphone owners over the course of a week illustrates how young
adults have deeply embedded mobile devices into the daily contours of their lives.
The largest retrospective case-control study to date on adults, Interphone, coordinated by the
International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), was designed to determine whether there are
links between use of mobile phones and head and neck cancers in adults. However, because many
cancers are not detectable until many years after the interactions that led to the tumour, and since
mobile phones were not widely used until the early 1990s, epidemiological studies at present can
only assess those cancers that become evident within shorter time periods. Interphone researchers
in Israel have found that cell phones can cause tumors of the parotid gland (the salivary gland in the
cheek), and an independent study in Sweden last year concluded that people who started using a
cell phone before the age of 20 were five times as likely to develop a brain tumor.

technology: they turn the sounds of your voice into a pattern of numbers (digits) and then beam
them through the air.
