Facebook.com is one of the most popular social websites to connect millions of
people in the world by offering various applications to write personal blogs,
share images, video and stories in social communities. It also supports emarketing and offers many services to worldwide marketers.
Facebook.com (company) was established in February, 2004 by Mark
Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskivitz and Andrew McCollum.
Facebook Company keeps growing for many years to have 1750 staffs and
offices in 12 countries in early 2013. It is the most famous social network now.
1. Explore facebook.com and describe in detail the services provided by this
website (company). You elaborate on how the website operates, what
services are available, how a seller or a buyer can use facebook services
for their sales and marketing.
2. Discuss the business model used by facebook.com. You should explain
clearly how they make money. Why is the site so successful?
3. Find additional articles such as newspaper clippings and online reviews
and analyze the performance of this company in terms of its popularity
and its market presence.
4. Investigate if there are companies/websites in Vietnam that are providing
the same service. If there is, elaborate on the similarities and differences.
If there is none, you need to discuss whether this business model can be
successfully implemented in Vietnam. Why or why not?
5. Based on your findings in No. (4) above, describe what you would do
differently if you are to set up this kind of business in Vietnam? List and
elaborate the critical success factor of this business model.
6. Write and submit a report based on points Nos. 1-5 above.
7. You need to provide evidences of your information search by attaching
relevant articles related to facebook.com that you have found.
8. The softcopy report needs to be submitted to Paris Graduate School of
Management with regulated deadline.
