Nirmal

irmal is situated at adilabad district, Telangana on the banks of river Godavari.it is

220 kms from Hyderabad. The town is famous for nirmal toys which are made up of teak
wood and poniki. Godavari pushkaralu will be held here and large numbers of pilgrims
are expected to visit this place.
Here river Godavari is described as Vrudha Ganga and Lord Sri Rama accompanied by
his celestial consort Sree Seethama spent a part of his aranyavadsa at the banks of
Vrudha Ganga.

PLACES TO VISIT:

The pilgrims who visit pushkaralu can also visit the lord Venkesteswar temple
situated at soan a small village in nirmal town located on the banks of river
Godavari.

TRANSPORTATION:

There are no direct trains or flights are available to nirmal town. The nearest
airport is shamsabad airport (Hyderabad) from there people can take public buses
to reach nirmal town which is at distance about 222kms from Hyderabad and takes
about 4 hours and 30 minutes to reach the place.

Basara

asara is a town in adilabad district in the state of Telangana, India on the banks of

river Godavari. It is situated at 200kms from Hyderabad. It is famous for gnana


Saraswati temple located at the banks of river Godavari. This Godavari pushkaralu is
going to be held here. They will be many cultural and literature programs at the event.
About lakhs of people are expected to visit this place during pushkaralu. Pushkar ghats
will be constructed here along the river for pilgrims to take bath. Goddess saraswathi is
Hindu god of knowledge and learning. Many pilgrims bring their children to this temple
to perform Akshara abhiyasam before starting their formal school education.

The children perform the exercise of letters and devote pens, pencils, books to goddess
of knowledge. Special poojas and celebrations are held at the temple during Maha
shivratri, beginning 15 days before (Vasantha Panchami) and continuing 3 days after the
festival. Devi Navarathrulu is celebrated for ten days during Dasara.

BY BUS: Number of state owned buses are available from Hyderabad mahatma
Gandhi bus terminal and jubilee bus station.

BY TRAIN: Basar has railway station between Secunderabad junctions mukhded


junction via nizamabad.

Dharmapuri

harmapuri is a town in the karimnagar district, Telangana state. Godavari

pushkaralu is going to be held here. At this place the river flows from north to south and
hence the name dakisna vahini. Pilgrims are expected to visit this place during the
pushkaralu.
PLACES TO VISIT:

Pilgrims can visit the famous Lord Lakshmi Narasimha swami temple. The temple
has two different idols of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha swami.

TRANSPORTATION:

There are no direct flights and trains to Dharmapuri town.

By Train : There are no direct trains to Dharmapuri; the nearest railway station
is mancherial station. Take a train from Hyderabad to mancherial railway station
and take a bus from mancherial to Dharmapuri.

Kaleswaram

aleshwaram is a village in karimnagar district in state of Telangana. It is situated at

300kms from Hyderabad. Godavari pushkaralu is going to be held this year at


kaleshwaram. It is located at merging point of river Godavari and its tributary river
Pranahita and river Saraswati. The meeting point is called triveni sangamam.
It is center for Godavari pushkaralu. It is famous for Sri Kaleshwara Muktheeshwara
Swamy Devasthanam. This temple is situated at the bank of river Godavari and
between the border of telangana and maharastra. This temple is significant because of
two shiva lingas found in single pedestal.

TRANSPORTATION:

By Bus : Everyday 60 RTC busses run from, Hyderabad, Warangal, Guntur,


Vijayawada, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Korutla, Metpalli, Godavarikhani,
Ramagundam depots.

By Train : Nearest railway station to kaleshwaram is ramagundam. Take a train


to ramagundam from Hyderabad and then travel to kaleshwaram by bus.

Bhadrachalam

hadrachalam is an important Hindu pilgrimage town situated at the banks of river

Godavari khammam district, Telangana. It is situated at 312 kms from Hyderabad.


Generally a large number of people visit this town as it is famous for the lord Sri Rama
temple.
The major festival of the town is kalyanostam i.e. Sita-Rama wedding that occurs during
the Sri Rama navami. As this year is Godavari pushkaralu is being held there might be a
large influx of pilgrims at this town. The officials estimate lakhs of devotees will be
visting Godavari pushkaralu during the 12-day event.
There will be mela, exhibitions and bathing ghats for pilgrims. There will be cultural
programs, as priests will give lectures on religious discourses during all the days of the
event. Pilgrims who visit during the pushkaralu can also visit the famous Lord Sri Rama
temple situated at the town.
The Lord Sree Rama temple has the archa Murthys of Sri Rama, Sita and Lakshamana
and is considered to be self manifested ones. Lord Sri Rama appeared in a dream to
woman called pokkala dammaka and informed her about the statues at the Bhadragiri
hills. She found the statues and put up a modest structure. Later on bhakt Ramadasu
build the temple.

TRANSPORTATION:

By Bus : State owned buses TGSRTC operates bus station in Bhadrachalem


connecting various places like Hyderabad, Warangal, tirupathi, basar, karimnagar,
Rajahmundry.

By Train : The nearest railway station Bhadrachalam road is 40kms from the
town. It takes about 45 minutes to travel from station to the town by bus. The train
from Hyderabad to Bhadrachalam is there every day called Secunderbad
-Manuguru Super-fast express (Train No: 12752) at Secunderabad Station every day
at 11:45 PM.

By Car : It takes about 7 hours to travel from Hyderabad to Bhadrachalam in car


covering a distance of 312 kms.
