Good afternoon Mrs. Cassandra,

Winfred and I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful it was just having the opportunity
to meet you, Mayor Johnson and the rest of your staff in Atlanta. It truly gave us a
better view on how much we, as a people, have grown in our views, attitude and vision
for the future.
We are looking forward to seeing Mayor Johnson in Las Vegas. However, we need his
help. The fact is, we are not funded and are not budgeted to register as a vendor, at this
point. I have attached the agenda and would like you to discuss with Mayor Johnson, on
our behalf, the meetings where the mayors would be accessible to us. Maybe he is at a
place where we can be his guests.
Mrs. Cassandra, I don't know what the possibilities are, but we know that we need the
exposure in order to move forward. Please contact Win at (843)-460-8227 or myself at
843-597-2211 if you have any questions or if Mayor Johnson would like to speak with us
about our request. Every effort will be appreciated. We are requesting the same from
Mayor Benjamin, Columbia, SC and will be waiting for a response also.
In addition, we have also attached a copy of our Executive Summary, some
documentation regarding the federal mandate, we are mailing you a BPub Presentation
Summary that you will receive in a few days via US express mail and this is our secured
website for your review www.bstreetsigns.com

Thanking you in advance for your consideration and hope to hear from you very soon. I
decided to send you the pics I took. I am sure they are not as good as yours.

NCBM_PressRelease_CourtRuling.final.docx
Letter to Business Council.pdf

Dr. Whitaker and Mr. Summers,

Over the last year, Mayor Johnson and the Board of the National Conference ofBlack
Mayors (NCBM) have been engaged in a major turnaround effort. In particular, the Board
was engaged in a cumbersome legal dispute with the prior leadership in order to complete a
forensic audit and restore transparency and accountability to NCBM. Fortunately, those
efforts have been rewarded.

Just last week, an Atlanta Court ruled finding all issues in our favor. It is truly a new day for
NCBM, and we can now move forward confidently. Please find attached a press release that
went out on the ruling.I'vealso included a letter that went to Business Council members last
fall that provides more background.

In light of the mismanagement in the past, the Board will likely take action to wind down
NCBM. Recognizing the continued need for black mayors to have a voice on the national
stage, Mayor Johnson will be founding a new organization with a modernized mission and
wider-scale participation. This organization will be committed to beingthe premiere
organization representing black elected officials in the country.Black mayors from the
largest American cities have already committed to joining (see list below), and many
businesses have already committed to joining the Business Council. We would love for you
to join us as well.

For your consideration,I'veincluded a list of benefits for Business Council members. I am

also copying my colleague, Aaron Anderson who helps coordinate the Business Council
efforts. Please feel free to reach out to either of us with any questions.

Best Regards,
Stephanie Mash

Hi,
I am flying back to Sacramento now and preparing for the work week. At the last minute I was asked to
attend a forum in DC on Wed so I will be flying out on the red eye on Monday night Tuesday morn.
Therefore I would like to set up our weekly meeting around 2pm on Monday if that works for you.
Also I will meet with the interns first thing on Monday. I have one of them working on the affordable
care act for NCBM. Are you working on it as well. I have traded emails with the White House staff,
Kellyn Blossoms. She is supposed to be sending me materials. I was working with interns to outline a
program and next step in preparation for a NCBM Board meeting. The Mayor wanted us to shoot for
August but it looks like that may happen in July.

I'm glad our mayors had a chance to check in last week at the USCM Annual Meeting. I trust their

I was wondering if I could have a quick phone call with you or whoever on your team oversees Mayor

our mayors discussed last week.
