I have had 28 years of dental practice experience. In my teens, I was a dental nurse
and after 16 years I wanted to purchase my own dental practice. That was in 2003,
and the practice, Dendy Village Dental Pty Ltd, went from strength to strength. I was
the first non-dentist in Australia to own a dental practice. I have now successfully
sold the practice to establish my new business, which was launched on 1 July 2014.
The new business, Julie Parker Dental Management Pty Ltd, is conducted in
alignment with the aims of the Australian Dental Association, and indeed I believe
will help the ADA with a number of its key objectives.
I established this new business with my Co-Founder, Charles Kovess, one of the
worlds experts on the subject of passion and a world-class educator, for the purpose
of helping dentists like you build the practice of their dreams, to enable you to
practise your profession with passion and joy so that you can help the patients who
need you!
Through running my practice for nine years, with no formal business training, I
gained a wealth of experience and appreciation for the challenges dental practice
owners and their staff face on a daily basis, especially during these harder economic
times where high levels of stress are running through the industry. I always worked
hard to learn how to improve every aspect of running a business and getting the best
out of the people who help build a quality and viable business. Every decision and
process I chose to put in place had the foundation of respect and integrity for all
involved.
My focus and vision for dentists like you who choose to become members of the

I started as a dental nurse when 17 years old and progressed through a great group
of dental practices, learning from the dentists all along. Most dentists provide an

building skills, poor staff management, poor in-house problem solving skills,
complexity of government regulation and poor media coverage are all negative
impacts on the image of the dental industry and the public are often left feeling
neglected.

All JPDM members receive their learning modules in the mail. The package includes
an audio CD and workbook. At times there will also be additional resources such as
DVD's and USB sticks with added information.
The audio CD's run for approximately 20 minutes. At this length they are ideal to
listen to when you are driving, going for a walk or as a team at a staff meeting.
Once you have listened to the CD (whilst this is optional for you as the practice
owner, we suggest listening a few times to retain all the information) you give it to
your team who listen to it and then lovingly tackle the workbook.

phone or via email.
The cost is $395 per month (plus GST) and you receive by mail monthly
education modules which include a CD/DVD and workbook.
These modules step you and your team through manageable chunks of
business and management education that empower you and your team to
confidently build a successful business.
The modules are designed to be easy-to-understand and easy-to-implement
without requiring enormous investments of time each month.
