Delivering Portable Standoff Detection

for Counter-IED and Security Operations

ChemImage Sensor Systems VeroVision
is a unique portable Short-Wave Infrared
(SWIR) Hyperspectral Imaging (HSI) sensor
providing real-time, standoff detection capability.
VeroVision is designed to address the
growing need for portable, safe and easyto-use sensing technology for military, public
safety, ordinance disposal and law enforcement
personnel to screen for chemicals, explosives
and drugs of abuse.

Designed for Operator Safety

Key Features

The design of VeroVision keeps user safety in mind

by allowing the user to stay back up to 20 meters from
the suspected threat while providing both wide-area
and close-up imaging for the detection of materials of
interest. VeroVision operates without the use of any
reagents or probe lasers, eliminating these potential user
safety concerns.

Wide-area surveillance capability used for standoff

examination of larger areas

Unlike other point detection systems on the market,

VeroVision gives users rapid access to visual
information to improve situational awareness and reduce
the response time to react to potential threats. The
ability to target varying material concentrations in
the field is essential, and VeroVision is capable of
detecting both bulk amounts and surface residues of the
material of interest.

Detection of multiple material classes including drugs of

abuse, explosives and hazardous chemicals

Lightweight and portable, VeroVision is easily deployed

and is powered from conventional AC power sources, a
small portable generator or from an optional battery pack.

Non-contact, passive sensing that does not require

hazardous lasers or reagents for detection
Highly agile tunable liquid crystal wavelength filters
allow a single instrument to detect a variety of materials
without costly factory upgrades

Detection of materials on many surfaces including

people, vehicles and buildings
Employs advanced detection algorithms to improve the
probability of detection and to minimize false alarms
Dual Field of View (FOV) lens system allows close-up
scanning of a detection area for confirmation
Optional auxiliary lenses allow the user to tailor the FOV
to their needs
