Saving time and money

Each stage of road construction with the application of Andor
Companys technologies from the first step to the very end of
the process saves your time and money. In this technology
application, the available soil becomes the material being used
for the construction process. This creates the following
advantages:
Local soil does not cost anything.
Reduction of expenses on the use of materials (crushed
stone, sand), as well as their transportation.
No expenses on the works on clearing soil.
Reduction of the amount of excavation work.
Reduction of construction duration.

High quality
Application of polymer stabilizer of soil allows to increase the durability
of road bed and reduces the expenses on the maintenance and repair
work of the motorways built with this technology application, as the
application of the soil stabilization technology eliminates the main
causes of road surface destruction, namely:
swelling of earth road bed body and its working layer caused by
water- and frost;
low moisture protection of road bed from soil waters;
weak soil road bed working layer;
silting of drained, frost-protecting layers of sand;
low stability to shifts of road clothing sand layers.
All these cause elimination results in increasing the term of road
surface overhaul service life.

Safety to environment

Road polymer is neither toxic nor inflammable. This

makes the construction method with the application of
Andor Companys technology absolutely safe for
environment and people.

The technology aggregates the available materials in

the same way as recycled materials (of available
structure) on the construction site in the best possible
way. No need to bring construction materials from
remote areas. In this way, the road construction
system with the application of Andor Companys
innovative technologies saves natural resources.

Technological process

STABILIZATION
What is stabilization
Process of improving the engineering properties of
natural soils ( such as load-bearing capacity,
resistance to one axis pressing, filtering properties
and others) by adding small amount of ingredients

How is stabilization achieved ?

* Stabilization is usually created directly on the site
* Sometimes it is created in stabilization center.

STABILIZATION
Advantages of the method
* Minimal use of chemical additives
* Efficient and fast construction of soil bedding and
road bed
* Saving power
* Protection of environment
* Possibility to use local natural materials and
salvage
* Reduction of sensitivity to moisture changes
(swelling potential, stability to erosion and others)
* Technological process is researched in-depth

POLYMER
What is polymer emulsion ?
* Foam white water-soluble thick liquid, non-toxic
and neutral to environment
* Chemically polymeric emulsion produced on the
basis of polymers and co-polymers of various
compositions

POLYMER
Polymer application
* Polymer mixture is used as soil stabilizer
* Soil stabilization is achieved by means of changing
the natural properties of soil
* Provides the opportunity of designing elasticity and
plasticity modules, as well as strength properties
* Experience and latest research proves the
advantage of soil stabilization modifier over
artificial soil application

POLYMER

Flaws of conventional chemical

stabilizers

* Cement, slaked and live lime, ashes and some other materials are
conventional chemical stabilizers having cementing properties.
Cementing additions are used have been used worldwide in the
road construction since the 1930s.
Their applications allows to improve significantly the engineering and
operational properties of soil materials, such as strength in
consolidation, resistance to pressure, resistance to shifting,
reduction of potential for swelling and slump.
* However, the soils stabilized by means of the application of traditional
chemical stabilizers, often have low resilient and elastic properties,
high water permeability, disposition to formation of cracks.
In particular, this is applied to the most common type of mixtures
those of soil and cement.

POLYMER

How does Polymer achieve soil

stabilization ?

* Elasticity module increases due to joining the soil

particles covered with cement, with a variety of
polymer chains
* During the process, the moisture-accumulating
capacity is utilized
* Protects soil framework from the harmful effects of
soil chemical components, such as sulfates.
* Prevents filtration and movement of capillary
waters
* Reduces the effect of water migration which is one
of the main causes of road surface wear

POLYMER
What is polymer-cement modified soil?

Adding 5-10% of polymer (from the weight of cement) creates, at the

construction site, the mixture which, after its consolidation,
and forms elastic plate with high module of plasticity
and resiliency , which also has improved mechanical properties
successfully bearing the road surface use regimes. PC-SOILS

CONCLUSIONS

Polymer-cement stabilization (or PC-SOIL) is an efficient, wellresearched process of improving the engineering properties of
natural soils. In fact, modified soil is the mixture of local
natural material, polymer additive, cement and water, which,
after consolidation and gaining solidity, turns into solid
construction material.
Intensity of traffic, increase of cargo transportation,
introduction of heavy dump trucks bearing high axis loads,
raising requirements to the road surface quality makes the
application of the stabilization technology not only desirable,
but also necessary
This method fits better for pavement construction, road
surface restoration and recycling some industrial wastes.

CONCLUSIONS

Logistics of technological process optimization, technological

regulations design, designing main engineering and technical
properties (load-bearing capacity, module of resiliency,
resistance to fatigue and erosion and so on), as well as the
economic effects, are calculated after performing full-scale
exploration works
If partial mechanization, as a simpler method which is easier
to access, fits more for the construction or restoration of road
bed in rural or remote areas, in the construction of big
highways, runways and similar structures, full process
mechanization is preferable where high degree of road
surface homogeneity is obtained due to more efficient mixing
process
