HARDPHONE ON-SITE DEPLOYMENT

GUIDELINES

This Guide is intended for any group or person that are installing VOIP Phones
within the Full Service deployment or after as a separate MyRequest on their
site. It provides details on local responsibilities for labelling, emergency dialling
and placement of the VOIP Phone Quick Reference Guide.

New VOIP phones are going to be installed in common areas (SNOM 300)
on your site as part of an OCS Full Service Project.
These new VOIP phones work slightly differently than traditional phones
and this information needs to be made clear to the end users.
After AT&T will install these phones the Shell Technical Site Contact needs
to coordinate the printing and application of stickers to the new phones
and to leave a printed copy of the VOIP My Workspace Quick Reference
Guide for these phones.
The printing and application of the stickers needs to be coordinated with
the Local Real Estate Team, including ensuring any stickers are printed /
formatted according to any local branding requirements.
The key information that must be on the stickers is as follows:
o Any local emergency number/ Steering Code (Short Depending on
your site requirements an emergency number may have been
programmed into the phone via a steering code i.e 12 or 13. Please
check with the AT&T project team what if any emergency numbers
have been programmed as steering codes. Please note this may not
apply for all sites.
o If you already have VOIP phones installed on site, please copy the
info on a sticker from these phones to a new phone.
o The format of the number to be dialled out please note that VOIP
Phones require the full international dialling code to be entered
even if calling within your own country along with an additional zero
dialling pre fix: e.g 0 0044 121 223 5567, press the tick button,
wait for OK to be displayed and press the tick button
again.
My Workspace have produced a VOIP Phone end user training guide. This
is a simple one page Quick Reference Guide which should be printed and
left next to any VOIP phone on site. Please consider getting this guide
laminated. The Guide is located HERE on My Workspace.
Please see below an example of the sticker information used for a different
site (Please dont copy this information directly as it might not apply to
your site)
Sample text for the sticker below:

Please always use the international dialling code to dial out Even if calling a
number in your own country: E.G. Dial 0 for an outside line then
00447737645789, press the tick button, wait for OK to be displayed
and press the tick button again.

emergency services or 13 and the tick button to dial internal emergency
