Celebrating the International Year of Light, the resource persons showed
activities on non-visibility of light, rectilinear propagation of light,
reflection, refraction, total internal reflection, working of prism, lenses and
mirrors, real & virtual objects and images and diffraction.
The students participated in the discussions and wrote in their feedback
that they had never attended such a session earlier, requesting for more
sessions.

Mrs Pragya Nopany conducted a session on Optics. The activities ranged
from rectilinear propagation of light to reflection, refraction, total internal
reflection, lenses and mirrors and diffraction. The students were amazed
to see such activities and requested for more such sessions.

The resource persons demonstrated about 15 activities on Atmospheric
pressure, fluid pressure, Bernoullis theorem, electrostatics, current
electricity, Ray & Wave Optics.
The students participated very enthusiastically and requested for more
such programs.

A 2- hour session to bring home the beauty of laws of nature was
conducted at Khaitan Public School, Ghaziabad. Physics concepts on force
and pressure and optics were demonstrated in 20 short activities,
discussion, hands on and quizzing. Some of the common misconceptions
related to pressure were also clarified in the activities. Smoke box and
Dettol water was used to make the path of light visible in the activities
involving optics.

& teachers present. Mr Shalabh Sharma, the physics teacher of the host
school was also encouraged to demonstrate along with Anveshika
resource persons.
