My thing about t
his song and who ever else listen to this song dont get me wrong, I like the son
g but my question is why would you CHASE after God. he is already there you dont
have to chase after him.

I have a friend
who says the same thing. The idea is that you are chasing after the heart of God
. Just as you chase after a woman's heart. It's just a figure of speech. I heard
someone say the same thing about Pass Me Not. lol

I agree with you

Mystery Man. I believe that we must not always look at things so literal, but
to be open minded and discerning (see the unseen) in our thinking. When I fir
st heard the song, I perceived it as chasing after the heart of God. I know tha
t God is always there, but the Bible conveys that we are to seek his face. This
means that we are to have a mindset, posture, and an attitude for reverance to t
he great architect of this world. I try to look at things with my spiritual eye
s and see beyond the moment. This is not say that I'm walking around and talkin
g constantly about spiritual issues (Holier than thou attitiude), but throughou
t my daily affairs quietly aknowledging the power of the Lord in my life.

stake for the last chord in the break where is says:

Let me add on to
what rlminter is saying. I liken Chasing after God as I did with my first love
"Abigail" I did everything I knew possible to peruse her. I loved her unconditio
nally, I talked her (not just when I wanted something), spent time with her, and
was intimate with her. We should approach God with the same Fervor. Keep on cha
sing or perusing him. Talking to him, spend time with him, study his word, and b
e intimate in worship & praise with God. Too many church folk have created a dys
functional relationship with God. When we first got saved it was You Can Have The
Whole World Just Give Me Jesus approach and through time we call him when we are
in trouble, when we are sick, we need a blessing, and we need a miracle. We onl
y do Praise and Worship on Sunday and maybe mid-week service. Christianity Cant F
it In A Box. There is so much more God has to offer us

I think you have

to listen in the spirit to understand the message of the song, I m chasing afte
r you no matter what i have to do i need you more and more, that s a cry out to
God saying i need all the God i can get and i m chasing after that thing. Have y
ou ever been in a dry place and it felt like God wasn t in the midst that s when
you began to chase after the spirit of God. That song may have been coming from
a place similar to that, just try and listen to the songs from a spiritual pers
pective because it may not make much since in the natural.
