schools of Delhi & NCR were invited to attend this unique program - Ms
Rajani Teckchandani & Ms Poonam Sharma (Sadhu Vaswani International
school), Ms Bharati Kulshreshtha (DAV school, Sahibabad) , Ms Aruna Jalan
(Father Angel school ), Ms Vishaka Garg ( Amity International, Noida), Dr
S.K Singhal (Amity International, Mayur Vihar) & Ms Sutapa Laha De
( Modern School, Barakhamba Road).
The six day workshop, intensive in depth and extensive in exposure,
included classroom experiments, long projects, visit to various labs, series
of lectures by different specialists, presentations by participants and stage
shows.

Sutapa Laha De took initiative to conduct the session in form of a team
presentation by all the seven participants from Delhi.
The team demonstrated 10 activities which are developed collectively by
the resource persons at BVN-IAPT Anveshika, based on various discussions
and experiments under the guidance of Prof H.C Verma, Prof B.N Das & Mr.
Samar Bagchi. The activities were based on the concepts of emf, series &
parallel combination of cells, maximum current theorem, surface tension ,
converging & diverging of rays through a fused bulb, refractive index,
moment of inertia, vibration of air column. The activities, doable in class
within the permitted time limit, used low cost materials like dough,
aluminium foil, water , paper, zinc coated nail, potato etc.
The activities demonstrated by the team BVN-Anveshika with enthusiasm
and team spirit, were further elaborated by Prof H.C.Verma and opened
the field for further discussion, throwing up possibilities for further
investigations.
The entire BVN-IAPT Anveshika team takes back with it not only the joy of
learning and the joy of sharing but also the joy of caring which are going
to reflect in their future classroom practices.
The team members from BVN-IAPT Anveshika convey their thanks for this
opportunity to participate in NWUPt-14 & express a desire to work
