I am writing to express my interest in the Marketing Manager position offered at the Living Desert (Job
#4596277). I am confident that my skills are well-aligned with the role and that I would be an excellent fit
for your organization.

I come to you with a solid marketing, advertising, PR and sales background, both as an Account
Executive/Consultant and Sales Director. As a marketing executive, I have spearheaded numerous critical
projects that led to rapid business development and sales growth. During my time working at The Public
Record/Travelhost Magazine and The Desert Sun newspaper, I received extensive training about ad design
& placement, marketing & contract negotiation strategies as well as competitive positioning. I consistently
met my revenue goals, never missed any deadlines, built long lasting relationships with local business
owners and proved very creative and resourceful when it comes to building multiple revenue sources.

One of my greatest achievements was to create and design a successful advertising program for Desert
Magazine (The Holiday Gift Guide spreads) which not only increased revenue for the newspaper and the
various sales teams but also received a design award.

Furthermore, the Living Desert was one of my accounts for several years while I was handling the El
Paseo/Palm Desert territory at The Desert Sun and I worked very closely with 2 of your previous marketing
managers on designing your ad campaigns (print & online), negotiating your advertising contracts, getting
the best placements for your ads and ultimately optimizing your advertising budget.

In the last few years, I have also provided consulting services to the president of American Saver Magazine,
wrote press releases and various articles and helped many national and international businesses with their
marketing and PR needs.

I am an annual member of the Living Desert which I visit regularly and therefore, I am very familiar with the
Park and its offerings.
