1. Program Educational Objectives(PEO)
Our graduates will be able to understand the fundamental principles of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering, including its scientific applications, rigorous analysis, and creative design.
Our graduates will be able to understand the current issues in engineering with emphasis on Electrical and
Electronics Engineering, necessary for productive careers in the public or private sectors, or for the pursuit
of graduate education.
Our graduates will have necessary communication skills and teamwork, so that they are prepared for the
complex modern work environment and inculcate professional attitudes and ethics.
Our graduates are provided with an environment that enables them to pursue their goals in an innovative
program that is rigorous and challenging, open and supportive.

3. Course Objectives:
1. Develop fundamentals, including Ohms law, Kirchoffs laws and be able to
solve for currents, voltages and power in complex circuits
2. Describe basic fundamentals of Electric Circuits, their components and the
mathematical tools used to represent and analyze Electrical circuits.
3. Summarize various two port network parameters and their relations and
develop the design and analysis of basic DC and AC circuits with network
topologies.
4. A) Illustrate the principle of Practical DC Generator and Motor and outline
the concept of armature reaction and commutation in DC Generators and
Motors
B) Discuss about various types of losses in DC Machines and distinguish
between armature and field control method of speed for different types of DC

Motors
5. A) Explain the physics of semiconductor electronic devices, the characteristics
and their equivalent models.
B) Memorize the mechanism of flow of current through the p-n junction and
relating this phenomena to the characteristics and operation of the diodes,
bipolar and unipolar transistors.
C) Recognize the internal working of the regulated power supply this includes
characteristic
parameters of rectifiers with and without filters using Zener regulation.
6. Illustrate the concept of biasing in BJT and JFET so as to able to analyze
advanced electronic circuits.
