Free mind is needed to search for inner

freedom

To reach inner freedom we must search for

freedom with a free mind! It is like saying to

catch a thief you have to think like a thief

Free means to be free from all suffering, to

reach inner freedom where all suffering
ceases to be.

What is a free mind?

The mind in search of its own freedom
must first of all assume an impersonal
attitude, which leaves it free to explore,
investigate; examine and most important
of all experience.

All we need is
A silent mind and an open heart

Freedom is not just an end in itself.

It is not something that awaits us at the end our
endeavor. Freedom is instantaneous, right now,
from the very beginning.
We can be free in the very process of the
search, in experiencing, in every step along the
way.
To achieve freedom requires only two things; a
silent mind and an open heart.

Meditation in Buddhism

Not an instant cure or a relaxing way.

It is the cultivation of mind to develop
insight wisdom.
To gain Peace as you function in normal
life.
Watch your mind while it is in conflict.
Cling not to the thoughts & emotions.
Be aware that it is a passing show,
imperfect intrinsically and self is not in it.

How can we experience Peace in the

everyday world?

Watch, understand and deal with the anger,

desire etc. as they arise.

Cease to be involved in emotionally.

Then, peaceful nature of mind will develop.

Enables you to live completely

Staying with the moment

Your mind must be strong & focused in order

to be mindful of your mind.

Try being mindful of some simple activity like

breathing

Thus eventually you will train yourself to be

mindful of the mind that produces distracting
thoughts and emotions, watch them as they
arise.

Experience silence of mind

Try to experience watching yourself in silence. That

silence is the silence of the mind free from

discriminations, free from likes and dislikes, free
from clinging

Thoughts and emotions by themselves are just

momentary and possess no mind of their own. By

clinging to them, you prolong their stay.

The Path of Mindfulness ...

..it may be available to house holders with full

responsibilities of jobs and families.
The focus is on gaining spiritual insight
through keeping mindfulness alive in the
midst of our daily busy lives.
It is not important that you be with the
moment every single moment of the day.
What is important is that you learn to get out
of the constant mental run around and be
more focused and grounded.

Be mindful, put equanimity into it...

Go beyond likes and dislikes, to relate to

things as they are.
When the mind is not free, there is no chance
of compassion to arise.

Creative Living

Start with the individual when a person is well

centered and in equilibrium within ones self
one naturally draws others centers into
balance and hence the community as well.
A spontaneous equilibrium is created within
any given situation.
Patience and wisdom bring forth the harmony.
Intelligent living means skillful and creative
living.
