having sworn in accordance with law HEREBY CERTIFIES:
BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 2014-05-39
WHEREAS the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and
D Asian Hills Bank, Inc. (A RURAL BANK), both aim to contribute to poverty
alleviation through empowerment of the disadvantaged individuals to improve their
quality of life;
WHEREAS the DSWD, as the lead government agency in social welfare and
development, contributes to poverty alleviation and empowerment through the
provision of social protection and the promotion of the rights and welfare of the poor
through local and national policies, programs, projects and services implemented
with or through Local Government Units (LGUs), Non-Government Organizations
(NGOs), Peoples Organizations (POs), other Government Organizations (GOs), and
other members of civil society;
WHEREAS both organizations recognize the need to strengthen the
economic capacity of the Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries by linking them to business
development service providers, local markets and employment opportunities;
BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to authorize the D ASIAN
HILLS BANK, INC. (A RURAL BANK) to enter into a partnership agreement under a
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the DSWD for the implementation of a
Sustainable Livelihood Program that will enable poor families to participate in the
local economy as micro-entrepreneurs;
RESOLVED, FURTHER that the D ASIAN HILLS BANK, INC. (A RURAL BANK)
and DSWD shall make the necessary arrangements to ensure satisfactory
performance of the partnership based on the Terms of Reference, which clearly
indicates the parties respective obligations, financial costs and schedules;
RESOLVED FINALLY that this Resolution shall remain valid, subsisting and
enforceable unless subsequently modified, revoked, rescinded or suspended by a
resolution of the Board of Directors and a copy of such resolution is actually
received by DSWD.
