Hair for You delivers a good

Tammi Peterson discovered her hair
salon, Hair for You, six years ago while
motoring down Taylor Road on a Harley with her husband.
We saw a for sale sign on the shop
and fell in love with this little town, Peterson said. Loomis just made it so easy
for us to be here. Theyre so welcoming.
Celebrating six years at the Loomis
location, Peterson, who has worked in
the hair salon business for 33 years, runs
the shop with stylist Ronda Duncan.
Peterson said clients are her favorite
part of the job.
Thats why I stay in the business. My
clients become my friends and my family, Peterson said.
Her services include haircuts and
styling, hair coloring and permanents.
I serve kind of a mixed crowd here.
We dont do a lot of hip-funky, she said.

Petersons top priority is helping clients look good for an affordable price.
We want to keep them looking
good without emptying their pocketbook, she said.
Client Nicki Tarbell, 24, said she is a
long-time regular at Hair for You.
I keep coming back because she does
my hair the way I want it. And Tammi is
so upbeat always telling stories, never
boring, Tarbell said.

Il Pizzaiolo dishes
up authentic
Sicilian pizza

Raised in Loomis, Del Oro High
School graduate (2002) Grayson Lee
said that opening his pizza business
last year on Taylor Road was like
coming home.
He co-owns and operates the restaurant with his wife, Sonia.
Lee said that 80 percent of his customers are return business and many
of them are old friends. People are his
favorite part of the job. He loves the relationships he has with employees, suppliers and customers.
These are all people whom Ive come
to love, he said.
Old friends or not, a lot of customers
are coming back for the pizza.
One of Lees favorite comments that
he receives from customers is I havent had this good a pizza since Ive
been in Italy.
At Il Pizzaiolo, fresh ingredients and
Sonia Lees Sicilian recipe set their pizzas apart from the competition, Lee said.
The authenticity of our product is
something thats hard to find. We serve
a true authentic Italian pizza, Lee said.
Everything at their restaurant is
homemade, from pizza dough and sauce
to salad dressings, gelato, and tiramisu.
Il Pizzaiolos most popular pizzas include the vegetarian Margarita and the
Nebrodi that features prosciutto, fresh
mozzarella and arugula.
Open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tues-

days through Sundays, the restaurant

serves wine and local craft beers.
Lee said his top business priority involves integrity and passion.
If you stay true to yourself and
youre doing something that youre passionate about, it should flow through to
the customers and youll be successful in
that way, Lee said.
Food is available for take-out but
delivery service is not available. Il Pizzaiolos mobile wood-fired oven truck is
available for private events.
In June, the Lees opened a second
pizza restaurant in Rocklin and will also
be splitting from their partners and reorganizing the Loomis business.
My wife and I are going to take full
charge. We have decided to take the
business in a new direction, Lee said,
and get back in touch with our Sicilian
roots. We will be changing names, recipes and upgrading our menu.

facility, Loomis Self-Storage co-owners
Nancy and Brian Hogan said they enjoy
doing business in Loomis.
The friendly support from their small
town business community makes doing
business a pleasure, said Nancy Hogan.
Among the services that Loomis
Self-Storage offers are self-storage units,
200 spaces for RV and boat parking,
and moving truck rentals. They also sell
moving supplies and arrange shipments
for their customers.
Their business catch-phrase is big
city technology, small town friendliness.
Customers tell Hogan that they like
doing business at Loomis Self-Storage.
We hear most often that we are
a clean, secure place with nice people, Hogan said.
The companys top business priority is offering remarkable customer service.
Were meeting new customers all
the time and it is so great to help our
customers during tough times, Hogan
said. Statistics show that 50 percent of
self-storage customers are dealing with
some kind of crisis.

The facility has high-tech security with 24 cameras, storage-unit door

alarms and motion detectors, and a
night watchman, Hogan said.
Their prices are competitive and
involve no hidden administration fees
or deposits.
When customers vacate a storage
unit, the facility will give a refund for
unused days, Hogan said.
Our goal is to make our customers
smile, she said.
