product license for the purpose of

Paris, Madrid, Mumbai, Shanghai)
helps to maximize the synergies in
implementation and maintenance
projects around the world. The center
is linked seamlessly with our local
capital markets practices in different
countries, our dedicated capital markets delivery centers in Spain, India
and China (see next page), and the
Accenture Global Delivery Network
with 50 locations across 20 countries.
Solution Accelerators
The Capital Markets Center of
Excellence offers over a hundred
remote individual trading environments for development and training
purposes and a repository database
for all documentation and source
code. It also contains Accenture solution accelerators (e.g. frameworks
and tools) developed around Calypso
software, including an installation
and configuration framework, an
interface framework and a comprehensive test and quality framework
(see fig. 1). Dedicated tools include
an automated online/offline workflow
testing tool and our ready-to-use
development environment which
enables a quick start with our clients'
Calypso projects.
Calypso Fast-Track
Accenture has contributed to the
development of Calypso Fast-Track,
a market standard based solution
for controlling the costs, risks, and
time lines associated with implementing the Calypso Trading and Risk
Management Platform. The Calypso
Fast-Track solution provides customers with business specifications and
documentation, test cases, on-line

training, operating procedures, outof-the-box interfaces and a preconfigured database.


Accenture worked as an integral part
of Calypsos product development
team on the testing and validation of
the Calypso Fast-Track solution and
has the right to develop Accenture
proprietary assets on top of the
Calypso Fast-Track solution configuration. Already developed are a gap
analysis framework and an estimating tool. Our Center of Excellence
has the latest reference Calypso
Fast-Track solution environment,
including documentation and testing
scenarios, and our people are trained
on the Calypso Fast-Track solution to
appropriately leverage its content as
well as our solution accelerators in
regards to specific clients requirements for design and implementation.
Capital Markets Delivery Centers
In addition to the 50 global facilities staffed by 75,000-plus professionals that comprise the Accenture
Global Delivery Network, our firm
operates delivery centers dedicated
to the capital markets industry in
Spain (Madrid), India (Mumbai and
Bangalore) and China (Shanghai).

Our client is an international provider
of banking and insurance services to
personal, business and institutional
customers with a presence in over
50 countries.
For this client, Accenture runs a
3-year trading transformation program that encompasses, among other
things, the creation of a cross-asset
class Calypso back office layer aimed
at the integration of various front
office applications for derivatives,
fixed income and FX/MM (e.g. trade
workflow, confirmation, payments,
accounting, integration in bank
infrastructure) on a worldwide basis.
