AQUA24A3/D

Controller with three outputs 0 - 10 V

The AQUA24A3/D is a P/PI controller designed for controlling room temperature or supply air temperature in
HVAC systems. The controller has small size and is designed for DIN-rail mounting.

* Three continuous control outputs, 0 - 10 V.

* SPC (Setpoint control).

* Two heating and one cooling sequence.

* All settings accessable on the front.

* P/PI controller

* Damper limiting.

Operation
The AQUA24A3/D is a PI controller but can also be set to
run as a P controller. It has three sequential outputs for two
stages heating and one stage cooling (0-10 V DC).
The neutral zone between heating and cooling is adjustable.
Output Y1 and Y2 will increase on increasing heat demand
and output Y3 will increase on increasing cooling demand.
Main sensor
For supply air temperature control or room temperature
control. The controller can be set for P- or PI-control.
Limiting sensor, cascade control
When running room temperature control the controller may
be wired as a cascade controller with the main sensor in the
room and a limiting sensor in the incoming air duct.
A temperature deviation in the room results in a shift of the
duct controller setpoint. The size of the shift is determined
by the cascade factor CF. The cascade factor is defined as
the shift of the duct controller setpoint that is set at a room
temperature deviation of 1C.
The duct temperature can, when running cascade control, be
both maximum- and minimum- limited.
Room and duct temperature controllers can individually be
set for P- or PI-control.

Setpoint
The AQUA24A3/D can be used with the built-in setpoint
knob or,optionally, with an external setting device. The
setpoint controls the temperature at the main sensor.
Setpoint Control
The setpoint can be shifted from the preset value by
applying an external control voltage to the SPC-input
(Setpoint Control). The setpoint can be shifted -15K to +15K
from the set value by applying 0 - 10 V DC to the SPC input.
No shift at 5 V DC. If the input is left open it is internally held
at zero shift.
Damper limiting
By using a TBI-100 potentiometer it is possible to maximum
or minimum limit the output signal to a damper actuator.

Shut-down mode
The AQUA24A3/D has an input which is to be connected to
the supply-air fan relay. When the supply air fan is stopped in
the normal manner, the controller changes to shut-down
mode. Both outputs are set to zero.
On restart, the integrators are reset to zero which means

that the start position is determined solely by the P

deviation at the time of starting. When the sensor
temperature equals the setpoint value, the starting
point is centered between Y1 and Y2.

This product conforms with the requirements of European EMC standards CENELEC

Two (2) inputs for main sensor and limit sensor.
See Section 6-100 for choice of sensor. Limit sensor must be 0...60C.
The setpoint can be shifted -/+ 15K with a control voltage of 0-10V. 5 V produces no shift.
The setpoint can be set with an external setpoint potentiometer.
The fan supervision signal controls the switching between running and shutdown mode.
The contact should be closed when the fan is running.
