Project Title: Sales and Inventory System

Project Justification:
The project is to be pursued due to the business need to implement such information
system to cater to the problems regarding the selling and managing of the inventory of
the Jan Minimart. The main purpose of the project is to develop the system of encoding
their sales and as well as to design an information technology that would improve the
manual sales and inventory system of Jan Minimart. The product would be a sales and
inventory system that is accessible to business computer device.

Product Characteristics and Requirements:
1. Sales
This module provides the sales information of the business
It always updates during business transactions (sale of goods)

2. Storage Inventory Checking


It provides the inventory of goods that are still in the storage room of the entity

3. In-store Inventory Checking


It provides the inventory of goods that are being displayed in the store.

Product User Acceptance Criteria


The system is to be implemented after 6 months of planning and designing. It is to be
implemented within a budget of 100,000 to P300,000. The stores will be open from 9am
to 9pm to maximize the potential of the business. Our focus will be on Sales, Storage
Inventory Checking, In-store Inventory Checking for these requirements will help the
business to segregate what must be divided and to account what must be accounted in a
systematize manner. The implementation of the Product Characteristics and
Requirements will aid the business to coordinate information and audit every single
account easily. These will help the business to save time and to have a systematize
overview of the movement of its day-to-day operation.
Summary of Project Deliverables
Project management-related deliverables:
1. Stakeholders Analysis based on the system
2. Installation: Once the system is completed and agreed on, we will install it on
the business.
3. Training: 1week training for the vendors to use the proposed inventory system
4. Survey: Our team will provide a survey to the consumers and vendors after 2

weeks of installation to know if there is a change in the service of the business


if the system made the transaction slower that causes the lines in the cashier
grow longer.
Product-related deliverables:
1. Quality assurance of the inventory system particularly if it works.
2. Equipment Procurement: Before any equipment can be purchase for the
business, an inventory of current equipment must be conducted. Once the
inventory has been conducted, the owner/manager must determine if the item
should be replaced or repaired.
3. Complete modeling and documentation of design
4. Prototyping of different product in inventory system
