Commissioning
2.1. Settings to be made before login
Go to Control Panel Go to Network Connections Go to LAN Properties
Go to TCP/IPv4 Click on Obtain IP address automatically

2.2. LCT Start-up and Login

Enter TX Power(as per LB) as shown in the Image below.

2.9. Antenna Alignment


Connect multi-meter pins to AGC port of ODU & grounding to check the desired
reading on multi-meter(Keeping the multi-meter Knob on 20V)
Adjust the direction of Antenna, so as to get multi-meter reading approx. 3.95 Volts.
Repeat the above point at Far end to get the desired RX Level (Check in Metering).

E1 Port Settings

Select CH Usage as Used All


Select Impedance as All CH 120(Ohms)

Press OK

E1 Cross connect Settings

Click on Add Give Service Name Cross Connect type E1


On Edge A Select Mainboard (Select number of E1 to be used)
On Edge B Select Modem1 (Select number of E1 to be used) and click ok.

3. E1 Patching
3.1. E1 punching on DDF
CH-1 to CH-8 TX

CH-9 to CH-16 TX

Prepare PCM Cable according to the


Colour Code mentioned below.
DDF should be installed as per Customer instruction.
Connect MDR Cable/Y Cable with the PCM Cable.
Labelling(CH number & towards XX)
on DDF Crone is compulsory.
CH-1 to CH-8 RX
CH-9 to CH-16 RX

3.2. Extending E1 from Customer MUX to NEC DDF


We need to identify the E1 details provided by Customer
Identify the Tx of MUX E1 with LED
Accordingly punch the E1 & extend it to NEC DDF.
