• Students will organize all information including quizzes, exams, homework
assignments, and grades on Chapter 10 using the Notely.net website.
Assessment Plan
(What will be done to determine if lesson objectives have been met?)
• A unit exam will be given at the conclusion of Chapter 10.
• Students will be graded weekly on the progress of their Weebly page.

Inclusion Techniques for Students with Special Needs:
Assignments and instruction will be altered according to each student’s IEP in order to
meet their special needs.
Enrichment Techniques:
Material presented in class will be enriched through the assignments in the computer
labs. Students will be asked to demonstrate the material presented in class through
projects such as Photo Show, Glogster, Open Office, Excel, Prezi, Class Blog, Notely.net,
etc.

Lesson Differentiation (What modifications/accommodations will be made to ensure that ALL students

have access to and are able to participate in the lesson):


Students will have class-time twice a week for at least 20-25 minutes to update
information onto their Notely.net site for information covered in Chapter 10 along with
the additional class they chose to include.

LESSON PRESENTATION

Introduction/Motivational Activities/Anticipatory Set:


Each student will be introduced to the Notely.net website in the computer lab. The goal
of this lesson will be to show students that organization can be the key to success in their
schoolwork.
Detailed Teaching Sequence:
(Provide sufficient detail that would enable a substitute to effectively present this lesson. Bulleted
statements are preferred)
• The teacher will distribute the syllabus for Chapter 10 to the students which will
include a schedule all school holidays, assignments, and tests.
• The teacher will introduce the students to the capabilities of Notely.net to the
students.
• The students will be given time in the classroom to explore Notely.net on their
own.
• The teacher will request that students load all of the information in the Chapter 10
syllabus into Notely.net where they deem appropriate.
• Students will be encouraged by the teacher to include personal information such
as sports or after school activities.
• Students will be asked to load the information for grading onto their notely.net
website.
• Students will be asked to include at least one other class’s activities and
assignments on their Notely.net website.
• The students will be required to keep an up-to-date calendar of our class’s
activities along with uploading at least one assignment for each class onto the
“notes” tab of Notely.net.

Guided Practice/Independent Practice/Assessment Activities


Students will be assessed by their participation and active updating of their Notely.net
website at the conclusion of Chapter 10.
Closure:
This section will close with a discussion of what other applications of Notely.net the
students found to be useful in organizing their academic schedule.
