ENCYCLICAL LETTER (LAUDATO SI)

ISSUE ON TRANSGENDER

According to the Encyclical Letter which states that Each creature possesses its own
particular goodness and perfection Each of the various creatures, willed in its own being,
reflects in its own way a ray of Gods infinite wisdom and goodness. Man must therefore respect
the particular goodness of every creature, to avoid any disordered use of things (43 as cited in
69), Humanity must have to preserve the beauty of creation that God has given to us. In the issue
on transgender, it is also relatable on the abusive way of an excessive use of the creation of God
that even the gender of human being must have to fully recognize ones desire to live freely.
In our society today, a lot of people are facing dilemma and difficult challenges in dealing
with the society. The society acts as the foundation of helping every individual to make a move
in avoiding gender stereotypes. However, it is the society that discourages them to express their
true self because of the implementation of laws it even leads to sexual discrimination. The
society must have to respect the needs of every individual by promoting peace and equal
harmony regardless of the gender issue.
However, every human being has freewill to decide on how one should live his or her life
by being contented on what God has given to us. The conflict arises when some people wants to
express themselves because they want to change everything that they are not even recognizing
the product of image and perfection on the creation of God. The transgender are being

discriminated by the society because of their queerness that they must have to deal with the
limitations of expressing themselves. This is not what God wants us to do. As human beings,
they must also have to be respected because in the eyes of God, we are all one and equal. What if
the transgender are also capable of abusing the greatest creation of God by changing their
sexuality?
The answer to this question is still unanswerable since our society does not yet
recognize the effect if this issue that will go further and it can cause destruction of respect and
dignity among human beings. After reading the encyclical letter, it made me realize that human
beings must also have to value the nature and because humans are also part of nature, one must
have to contribute by praising the creation of God and by taking care of it with love.
I believe that this letter is not a way of judging those who changed their gender
but rather it is more like a reminder of not to abuse the creation of God. Also, it does not also
promote discouragement for the reason that it is very much concerned on the things around us.
Moreover, it speaks about how to be contented and be able to possess good faith in God. The
Church can also be one that is encouraging each individual to exercise freewill but not to
excessively abuse it.
God does not want us to guarantee a sense of being judgemental to our fellow
human beings but we have the opportunity to change this way of thinking. In this case, we have
to provide a simple solution in dealing with the complex world. It is a matter of making every
individual feel that they are also part of the creation of God that must have to be respected in a
such a way that they must not abuse every little thing that God creates because it is really

important to ponder harmony in every aspect of life. The future generations may soon be able to
enjoy the creation and we must have to preserve it for them.
