This document describes the network migration procedure to be applied to Network Management System in
TIC. Considering the general audience who the document might be directed to, the intended readers should

Retrieve Systems Variables and Configurations

Network Backup (immediate in advance system upgrade)

Software Transfer for 1353NM

1354RM platform migration will be approached considering the high redundancy

environment where is working in. Thus, the following steps will be applied:
1. Data Replication and OS Resilience deactivation
2. New SW release installation on stand by machine
3. Pre Migration Checks
4. Network Data Migration
5. Switch Platform
6. Post Migration Checks
7. Main and presentation machines SW upgrade and integration
8. OS Resilience installation and Replication activation
9. Post Migration Final Checks
After step 5, due to the presence of the original 1354RM still working with the
original SW release, fallback scenario might be implemented

1353NM Platform
Upgrade

1353NM platform upgrade will be approached applying In Service Evolution

procedure, according the following steps:
1. SW Area arrangement
2. New Instance Creation and SW Installation
3. New Instance Off-Line Customization
4. Instance Switch
