To be eligible for funding you must:
Live or work in Luton
Work in one of the following sectors
Airport-related : airlines, London Luton Airport Ltd, hotels, logistics and transport.
Aerospace : aircraft engineering and maintenance; aerospace and defence contractors.
Engineering : automotive, marine or other engineering, manufacturing or advanced
technology businesses.
ICT : programming, computer services, computer supplies, technical support,
digital security.
Creative Industries : film, music, audio, digital media
or other media production businesses,
publishing, public relations, design,
fashion, event management,
theatre.

Course Structure
Whilst each course will vary, they typically
consist of a series of workshops and a distance
learning or work-based project component. Each
programme will require a commitment of 45 hours, spread
over approximately 3 weeks.

The University of Bedfordshire has attracted European funding, matched by Luton Borough Council, to support SMEs in the above named
sectors. Companies cannot have more than 250 employees working in the business

The following list of courses are available and due to commence in September

Prince2 Project Management Foundation and Practitioner

PRINCE2 is an internationally recognised project management qualification and
methodology.
Lean Practicioner
Lean is an internationally recognised business improvement philosophy. It aims to
stimulate business growth by constantly reviewing processes, minimising waste
and ensuring steady delivery for customer value and service.
ISMM Certificate in Sales and Marketing
This course from the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM) aims
to demonstrate the commercial importance of marketing to an organisations
success.
Big Data and Business Analytics
This course will expose you to the skills needed to exploit the power of Big Data
in your business.
Modern Programming Fundamentals using Python
A practical course which will help you develop a professional approach to
analysis, design and implementation when programming.
CMI Level 3 Award in First Line Management
This introductory qualification from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI)
focuses on understanding management principles and practices, providing a
foundation for developing key leadership and management skills.
CMI Level 3 Award in Project Management
This unit is about the nature and context of projects, individual roles and
responsibilities within projects, and a project management process.
Delivering Excellent Customer Service (with CMI)
This course delivers the understanding and skills needed to help individuals,
teams and organisations deliver excellent customer service. This course comes
with a level 3 award from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
Social Media Skills for Digital Marketing
This course provides practical training enabling participants to make effective
use of Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Youtube and LinkedIn and discuss business
improvement strategies using these platforms.
