School, Cabatuan, Iloilo for reliability. The final instruments were implemented to the
actual respondents of the study. The statistical test used were mean and standard
deviation for descriptive analysis and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), T-test and
Pearson-Product Moment Coefficient of Correlation Test for inferential statistics. The
findings of the study were: (1) taken as an entire group, the Grade 9 of Pavia National
High School were approaching proficiency in their chemistry performance, have
moderate anxiety level towards chemistry and low self-efficacy; (2) there is no
significant difference in the students Chemistry performance, Chemistry anxiety and selfefficacy when classified according to sex and socioeconomic status, specifically their
family monthly income.(3) there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and
Chemistry performance of Grade 9 students.
