Transmission Lead Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning the project in order to accomplish its objectives within
constraints such as time, cost and agreed quality standards

Fault Management Engineer Responsibilities:

Regular monitoring of Block-TRX and make them working from BSC end also with the help of RF, field
engineers
support to field engineers regarding BSC & BTS related issues
Fault Management for BSS Network. Troubleshooting & fault finding for all BSC, BTS elements of Network
Prepare and analysis of HEALTH CHECKUP report of BSC computer units (BCSU, MCMU, OMU).
Diagnosis of faulty units to determine the exact fault & providing remote assistance to replace the same
Prepare and analysis of ACTIVE ALARM report of BSC.
BSC back up on FDU & Fallback on WDU as per pre -planned schedule
Checking status for Restoration of signaling links (Ater), GB links
Rectifying of quality degraded alarms on TRX like 7601, 7606, 7604,7745,7743,7741
Rectifying major traffic affecting (Call Drop) alarm like 2992, 2993 on Abis AND Ater interface to maintain KPI
under desired figure.
Resolve GPRS related issues which come under sleeping cells
Coordination with NOKIA CARE team for handling Emergency cases and raising care cases.
Perform Fault Diagnosis and rectification on all Nokia BSC.
Use BMC Tool for TT creation.
Working in GNSC team directly responsible for the NOC operation and maintenance
of NOKIA wireless GSM network consisting of multiple MSC, BSC, BTS that includes Citrix
applications, Net act CM Editor and Management tools.
Perform Fault Diagnosis and rectification on all systems alarms.
Providing technical support to regional teams for O&M support by using command handling.
Prioritizing hardware faults to meet customer demands within the required time frame along
with analysis, solution and reports for the same.
Work using NSN OSS tool like NETACT and CM TOOLS.
CR and Work Order Creation.
TRX Signaling & Channel configuration via BTS Manager
Enable and Disable GENA,EGENA etc.
Remote configuring like Expansion.
Using CM Software Manager for BTS Software Up gradation of Nokia Ultra, Flexi & Metro Sites.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

Site installation, commissioning and Integration of NOKIA equipments like Ultra & FLEXI (in door,
out door) BTS, 2G Flexi Multi Radio (FMR) BTS,operating with 900 & 1800 MHz.
Able to work in Tejas MUX
Able to work on FPMR Link.
Maintaining site related data,maintainance reports and as well as outage reports on daily basis
Working experience of installation, commissioning, alignment of NEC PDH & SDH link and Ceragon
IP-10.
Day to day alarm handling and fault rectification. Root cause identification and eradication.
Transceiver hardware addition and deletion in BTS.
Detection and eradication of faults relating to high VSWR and poor path balance both due to
hardware and wave guide.
Coordination and supervision for external alarms. Vendor quality checks to achieve SLAs
effectively.
Monitoring status before and after the activities.
All the installation, commissioning & fault rectification for NOKIA FIU 19E, RRI, E1/T1, FIFA, FIPA.
Work for all the installation and commissioning of SDH & PDH NOKIA Microwave Radio.
Integration of new BTS sites with the BSC.
Trouble shooting during commissioning & integration process.
Trouble shooting and fault finding of different NOKIA equipment parts like TRX, PWSB, ESMA,
FIFA,BOIA,BB2F,RRI, E1T1, etc and replacing the faulty cards.
Internal and external alarm management of all sites by logging into the BTS and finding the faulty
cards for replacing them.
Works for SEGMENTATION, SWAPPING and CABEX.
Works upon AUTO-DTRX & SPLLITING.
Making Cross connections & E1 Bypassing from BSC to Till Site.
E1 Patching at BSC & Backbone sites or link sites.
Co-ordination and supervision to clear the punch points of the sites for doing the Acceptance Test
(AT) on proper time.
Responsible for testing calls, handovers and verifying all external alarms reporting from OMCR.
Responsible for all technical issues / fault diagnosis at BTS, end-to-end testing the performance of
the individual tributaries. Give online support to my teammates.Hardware up gradation in BTS to
improve Network performance..
