(I) 18 to 27 years age for JE (Civil & Electrical) in CPWD and Department
of Posts.
(II) Up to 30 years for JE (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical &
Mechanical) in MES.
(III) Up to 32 years for JE (Civil & Mechanical) in CWC and Farakka
Barrage.
(IV) 18 to 27 years of age for Junior Engineers (Quantity Surveying and
Contract) in MES.
(V) Up to 30 years of age for Junior Engineer (Civil) and JE (Electrical &
Mechanical) in Border Roads Organization (BRO) of Ministry of Defense.
Note: Age concession and relaxation will be applied for SC/ST/PwD and
Ex-servicemen candidates, as per the regulations of Government of India.
Educational Qualification
Note: Women, SC, ST, PwD and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from
application fee.

Part 2
The candidates will be able to fill the Part 2 of the form, only after filling the
Part 1 and paying the application fees. If the fee is paid via challan,
candidates have to enter the transaction ID. Those who make the payment
in online mode will be able to move to Part 2 immediately.

As per the SSC JE 2015 Exam Pattern, the candidates who are appearing
for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying
& Contract) should attempt Part A (Civil & Structural) of Paper I and Paper
II and the candidates appearing for the post of SSC JE (Electrical) should
attempt Part B (Electrical) and the candidates appearing for the post of
Junior Engineer (Mechanical) should attempt Part C (Mechanical) of Paper
I and Paper II.
Interview
Those candidates who score minimum qualifying marks in both papers will
be called for personal interview. They will be assessed as per their
knowledge, skills and personality.

Note I: Paper -I and Paper-III for General Engineering, the candidate will
be required to attempt only one part i.e. Part-A or Part-B or Part-C as per
option given in the application form by the candidate.e. In other words, the
candidates appearing for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior
Engineer(Quantity Surveying & Contract) should attempt Part A (Civil &
Structural) of Paper-I and Paper-II and the candidates appearing for the
post of Junior Engineer (Electrical) should attempt Part-B (Electrical) and
the candidates appearing for the post of Junior Engineer (Mechanical)
should attempt Part C (Mechanical) of Paper-I and Paper II failing which
he/she would be awarded zero marks.
Note-II: Candidates are allowed to bring their own SlideRule, Non
Programmable Calculator, Logarithm Tables and Steam Table for Paper-II
only. They are not allowed to use such aids for Paper-I.
B. Personality Test (Interview): Personality test will be conducted for 100
marks. Only those candidates who secure at least the minimum qualifying
marks in the written examination as may be fixed by the Commission at its
discretion, will be eligible to appear in the Interview.
