ACADEMIC PROJECTS

RESEARCH THESIS (Master)

Artificial Neural Network based efficient scheme for detecting phase faults in UHV
Transmission System .The modified scheme 97% accurate and is immune to the variation in
fault location for under reach and overreach problem caused by sequence current components.
Several types of test conducted on an 800kV, 400km transmission line for single phase to
ground faults as well as simultaneous open conductor fault in PSCAD/EMTP and Matlab.
FINAL YEAR PROJECT (BACHELOR)
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (Black Falcon) for surveillance and security purpose with auto
routing and real time video imaging capabilities. Quad copter for the inspection of power
transmission line and other similar civil applications. Initially PID controller is developed in
simulation and hardware for the robust control .UAV is controlled through remote as well as
autonomous flight schedule. Gyroscope sensors give signal to the main controller board where
the PID controller is embedded. Further pre planned flight monitoring application is also
developed to watch far off places. A series of experiments are performed for transmission line
fault detection that the proposed UAV can lift 2.5kg load during its hovering condition and
maintain a stable and smooth landing.

Worked as Group Leader in all Projects Based On Electronic Circuits (Anti-theft car security
system with jamming capability integrated with Google map, Implement 8 Bit Microprocessor
On FPGA, 500KVA PWM based UPS design, GSM Controlled Car, Class Projector Control System,
Implement Histogram Equalization, Microstrip Low pass filter, Room Light Control Using Voice,
Digital Voting System, Rectifier Without Transformer, Inverter, PC temperature regulator).
