Handover Notes

1. Description of Duties
To assist in Assets Management (maintenance) of TBK hydroelectric power plant
equipments particularly SJ Bersia including main equipments (turbine, turbine
governor system, shaft seal system) and auxiliary systems (greasing system, cooling
water system, braking system, compressed air system, generator and turbine
bearings cooling system.) that is under scope of Mechanical Maintenance Section
including management of resources (workforce, financial, spare & materials) and
managing new improvement or rehabilitation projects.

2. Key Activities

2.1 Preventive Maintenance Management

To assist in conducting, facilitating implementation & review RCM initiatives


for TBK
To assist in analyzing maintenance records
To attend TBK weekly morning meeting and update daily Mechanical section
activity and status of SJ Bersia to Senior Engineer of Mechanical Section
Minor & Major Brushgear Outage Testing and Commissioning

2.2 Corrective Maintenance Management

To monitor and ensure CM work were done as per schedule/plan

2.3 Engineering, Improvement and Project

To assist in identifying and encourage plan improvement Project


To assist in planning and executing the new plant improvement project
To assist in planning and manage Major Overhaul activities for Electrical
Section

2.4 Plant Performance Reporting

To assist in reviewing SJ Bersia Major Overhaul Mechanical progress report


To assist in presenting Mechanical performance and activity report during
weekly station gathering

6.1 Temengor Unit 3 and 4 valve system for raw cooling water
Reason: Currently Unit 3 and 4 utilises cooling water from Unit 2 as water is
of better quality and has less tendency to cause blockage in the
cooling water pipe.
Status : To discuss a practical system whereby main valve that
controls cooling water for Unit 3 and 4 will be automatically opened
and regulated should Unit 2 intake gate close due to tripping.
