Introductory Lesson
l. Objectives
Students are expected to be able to

3. Give the connections and similarities in our culture based on the material viewed.

Target Competencies: Listening for information, analysis and inference
lll. Procedure
1. Motive questions

How does diversity contribute to unity? How do traditions and beliefs

bring about diversity and or harmony?
2. Activity

Let the students watch/ listen to the video clip to be presented.

Briefly discuss Thai Literature

Let the students find a partner and orally talk about the similarities of
Thais and Filipinos in terms of customs, traditions, beliefs and way of life
as depicted in the pictures .
3. Analysis
What are their customs and traditions? What landmarks are they noted
for? Do they have a culture similar to us? What does this imply?
4. Abstraction
How are we similar/ different from Thais? What do we make of this
difference?
5. Application
Match pictures with words and define them according to description.
lV. Evaluation
Write down the interesting customs that you have discovered from the video.
V. Assignment
Draw on a canvas interesting customs, traditions and culture or even
landmarks distinctive of the country. Be able to explain or discuss your drawing in
a 5-sentence paragraph. Provide your own title.
