Quality, safety, and reliability are the most important attributes

a modern hunting gun can have. With more than a century of
experience in building fine firearms, the gunmakers of Krieghoff have
the knowledge of what today’s hunting guns should offer.

It is with good reason that over-and-under combination guns are so

popular. They are light and compact, feel good, are well balanced and
prove very practical in field use.

The ULTRA-20 from Krieghoff is a superb example of a fine, versatile

combination gun. The Krieghoff Combi-Cocking Device and the
concept of thermo-stable, free-floating barrels provide significant
advantages in practical use.

The well honed skills of Krieghoff’s craftsmen with their vast

THE ULTIMATE IN SAFETY AND SPEED
An uncocked gun is a safe gun. The ULTRA-20 is carried with the
hammers uncocked, the safest position because there is no chance of
an accidental discharge by a worn safety catch or by dropping the gun.
When you are ready to fire, you cock the gun with a single, smooth
movement of the quiet, reliable cocking device, which is located on the
top tang in the position usually occupied by a conventional safety.
If an opportunity passes and you do not fire the gun, simply un-cock
the hammers by pushing the cocking device all the way forward to
disengage it and allowing it to slide to the rear, into the un-cocked
safe position.
As long as the combi-cocking device is left in the forward, cocked
position, both hammers of the ULTRA-20 are re-cocked upon opening,
and the gun is ready to fire immediately when it is closed, as with any
self-cocking rifle. This feature provides a useful speed advantage, for
example, when shooting driven game.

A CLEAN, CRISP TRIGGER FOR EVERY HUNTING SITUATION.
To create what many consider the finest trigger system available in
any modern combination gun, Krieghoff has developed and patented
its Universal-Trigger-System. It is used in all of Krieghoff modern
hunting guns – rifles, drillings, and combination guns – and provides,
as the name implies, universally desirable trigger qualities suited to all
hunting applications.
The unique design of the Krieghoff system provides crisp, clean three
to three-and-one-half pound (1000 – 1500g) trigger pulls, reminiscent
of the best sidelock.
The Krieghoff trigger system is also designed to accommodate a ‘hair’
or ‘set’ trigger. It is standard for the front trigger of the ULTRA-20.
When you set the hair trigger it makes the trigger pull extremely easily
so that the rifle will fire with a very slight touch of the trigger. It is
meant for use only under strictly controlled circumstances – precision
shooting from a bench rest or taking game from a stand or another
fixed position.
Krieghoff strongly recommends that you also order the optional
automatic hair trigger release for an extra measure of safety.
Other options available for the ULTRA-20 are a hair trigger for the rear
trigger and a single trigger.

The rifle/shotgun combination is a real work horse among
all hunting guns and is suitable for almost any hunting
situation. The ULTRA-20 is a prime example of how much
versatility you can expect from a modern over-and-under.
The over-and-under rifle/shotgun combination
can be equipped with any caliber of the insert
barrels Krieghoff KS to become a ”Bergstutzen”

COMBINATION WITH THERMO-STABLE BARRELS
The free-floating thermo-stable barrels of the ULTRA-20 prevent torque
which builds when barrels get hot from shooting and which adversely
affects grouping. The gun stays zeroed even with a rapid succession of
shots.
An added advantage of the free-floating barrels is the easy adjustment
possible to bring the barrels together, for example, when changing
ammunition or regulating with rifled slugs.

Insert barrels have become quite popular in combination hunting

guns in recent years as they greatly extend the versatility of such guns.
The full length, fully adjustable Krieghoff KS insert barrel is available
in a range of different calibers up to 9.3x74R suitable for roe deer
to red stag and boar. The ULTRA-20 Over-and-Under Rifle/Shotgun
