Intercede with Us for the Muslim World!

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light
shone.... For to us a child is born... (Is 9:2, 6, ESV).
This prophecy was given to the Hebrew prophet Isaiah concerning the Galilee of the nationsall nations. Let's pray this
week that Muslims will respond to the Light, the Child God sent, that they may find the salvation and peace He brings.

Today's Prayer Requests: From Students, Alumni, and Missionaries

SENSITIVE COUNTRY: We have been praying for workers who are establishing a team and training center for
those coming to serve unreached people groups in West Africa. They report that they have found housing for those
already there and for those who will join them in a few months. Praise God for this answer to prayer! They ask prayer
for financial provision and safe travel for those coming, for healing for several who are fighting sickness, and for
REVIVAL in this nation.

In the News
Please continue to pray for the two South Sudanese pastors who were released last week from prison in Sudan. A
travel ban is keeping them from returning home, and security forces have rejected an appeal that it be lifted. The men
had been falsely accused of spying and other offenses, but these charges were dropped. The security service is known
for harassing believers; pray that the Spirit would work in the heart of the officials responsible, both for their salvation
and for the liberty of these pastors.

From Global Initiative*

Pray for Christians groups who are witnessing to the 300,000 Muslims in Australia. Muslims of some 70 nationalities
have made their home here, mainly in the large cities of Sydney and Melbourne. More than 10,000 have come to
study, many on scholarships from Saudi Arabia. Other come for commerce and to find a better life. Pray for wisdom
and open doors for believers who are working to befriend and minister to their neighbors. Intercede for Muslims who
have accepted Jesus, that they might grow in their faith and see their loved ones come to the Lord as well.

For Muslim Women**

Pray that God would strategically place children of immigrant Muslims in classrooms where Christian teachers
and fellow students can introduce them to Jesus. As a new school year begins in the US and other Western nations,
pray that believers around these children would see and seize opportunities to explain the gospel message. Pray also
that mothers and fathers would be open and interested as they talk to their children.
