STEAMED CHICKEN

I just want to share you this recipe that I wish you might want to try. This con
sist of chicken topped with sliced onions and finely sliced ginger with sliced o
nion springs.How can you go wrong when all you have to do is to follow the follo
wing instructions:
Note however that I did not provide any measurement for this.. I am just laying
out the guidelines,it all depends now on you on how you adjust your ingredients.
Ingredients :
Chicken Thighs/ Drumstick or whole chicken
Butter
Ground Pepper
Salt
Finely Sliced Onions
Finely Sliced Ginger
Vegetable Oil (if you have Olive oil why not)
Chopped Spring Onions
Sauce :
Calamansi Juice
Soy Sauce
Red Chillies (Labuyo)
Procedure :
Rub the chicken with salt and pepper, and put butter under its skin. Let it sit
for 30 minutes or 1 hour.
In a separate frying pan,pour in a little amount of vegetable oil .Saute Onion
and Garlic. Once the Onion has caramelized, add the spring onions, let it sit fo
r a while.
Using your steamer or any improvised steamer, steam your chicken for 30 - 45 min
utes or until the chicken is done.
On a plate, put your steamed chicken, put the sauteed onions,ginger and spring o
nions on top of it.

-------------------My Version of Pansit Sotanghon
Masarap talaga magluto lalo na kapag ikaw ay may inspirasyon. Kapag ikaw ay pago
d, ang pagluluto ay isang paraan para ikaw ay makapagrelax. Gustong gusto ito ng
anak ko kaya palagi ko itong niluluto.
Ang pansit sotanghon ay iba talaga sa ibang pansit kasi sa ibang kulay at lasa n
ito.
Di na ako magpapaligoy ligoy pa eto na ang resipiya:
Pansit Sotanghon
Carrots
Cabbage
Baguio Beans
Bacon
Chicken Breast

Sibuyas
Garlic ( Bawang )
Paminta
Soy Sauce
Sesame Oil
Kintsay
(Optional : Beef/Chicken or Pork Broth Cubes, pork, shrimp, pusit, magic sarap)
Paraan :
iblanch ang carrots, cabbage at beans. Gumamit ng strainer, unahing ilubog ang c
arrots sa mainit na tubig, mga 30 seconds alisin mo na. Ilagay sa plato, Isunod
ang beans, dapat mga 20 seconds lang alisin na agad para di ma over cook. Ganun
din sa cabbage mga ten seconds. Basta siguraduhing di maovercook.. para crunchy
at presko ang dating.

Iboil ang manok, palamiginito.Huwag itapon ang pinagboilan sa manok. Magagamit m


o yan mamaya. I slice ang bacon, ung balat ng manok na galing sa chicken breast
at himayin ang manok.
Sa kawali, iprito ang balat ng manok na galing sa chicken breast, isunod ang bac
on at karne ng manok , isunod ang bawang ,sibuyas, lagyan ng pamintang pino. Hal
uin. Lagyan ng soy, make sure na iadjust ayon sa iyong panlasa, depende ren kasi
kung ilang tao ang ilulutuan mo.

Ilagay mo na sa kawali ung tubig na pinagboilan mo ng manok. tyansahin mo ang da


mi neto depende ren sa dami ng sotanghon na iluluto.
Ilagay ang sotanghon, remember , ang sotanghon parang sponge yan, sisipsipin ung
tubig agad,kaya haluin ng haluin hanggang maluto ang sotanghon.
Ilagay na toppings ang mga gulay o di kaya i halo sa sotanghon habang mainit pa
ito.

SHANGHAI SPRING ROLLS


I am member of a foodie fanatic group in facebook and I have solicited their ide
as to share their own version of this recipe,and to my surprise they indeed shar
ed their mouth watering recipes!
BUT....
From their own recipes..I made my own version from their different versions..and
I guess and I believe I can say,, top notch! yummy and must try recipe I have j
ust came up with! The more you are generous with the ingredients..the better res
ult.. I keep digging not knowing it 's already been consumed!hehehe
Here are the basic ingredients you need :

Ground Pork
Finely Sliced Red Bell Pepper
Finely Sliced Celery Stalks
Finely Sliced Onions
Ground Pepper
Magic Sarap
A drop of Sesame Oil
Shanghai Roll Wrapper
Kintsay
Procedure :

1. Mix all the ingredients,make sure to wash your hands..if not use a sanitized
hand glove. (It is kinda messy..:)
2. Just let it marinate for 3 hours or more..the better...
3. If you are ready and want to eat,,just have to stuff some of the mixed ingred
ients into your wrapper,,and have it deep fried.
4. Voila! (Shanghai Roll will be posted soon )
5. Options,,you can make patty out of the mixed ingredients..Taste is just the s
ame..

6. You can make your own version of your preferred sauce!!

Macaroni Soup aka " SOPAS"
This recipe is good specially during cold and rainy days. A sip of the soup wil
l delight you and wanting you more to dig in,, warming you up.
Ingredients:
Elbow Macaroni
Virgin Coconut Oil (optional)
Sesame Oil ( Optional)
Onion
Garlic
Ground Black Pepper
Celery

Butter
Milk(Evaporated milk,fresh milk)
Chicken Breast or chicken thigh
Chicken stock(broth cube)
Cabbage
Carrots
Salt
Sesame Oil
Ground Pepper
Magic Sarap
Procedure:
Boil Macaroni for 5 five minutes using the stock. Set aside.Make sure macaroni i
s "al dente" (firm to the bite).
In a separate pot, boil chicken breast,strain,set water aside,debone chicken.
Saute garlic,onion and celery using Oil;
Mix deboned chicken,continuously stirring. Add broth cube.
Transfer the sauteed ingredients to the Casserole where you put the elbow macaro
ni.. Stir.
Put the Milk.
Put Butter;
Stir,add ground pepper, salt (according to taste )
Let it boil;
Add Carrots;
Lastly add Cabbage..(do not overcook) .Turn off the stove upon putting the cabba
ge..The heat will eventually cook it.
Serve hot.
Note:
You can add egg(omelette or boiled)
You can add additional milk if you want to.
Just cook half of the 400 gms pack macaroni or depending again on the quantity d
esired.

Papaitang Baka
You might want to try this dish. This is really easy to cook. All you have to do
is to take your time,be patient, at the end,you will be rewarded with a lusciou
s meal.
This is an Ilocano dish consisting of Cow's internal organs mainly liver, intest
ines,heart, tripe and its lean meat). You have the option which to or not to in
clude when making this dish.
All you have to do is to go to the market and ask the butcher that you want some
thing for papaitan, he knows already what to give you.
Ingredients :
Beef Lean Meat
Tripe
Liver
Intestine
Heart
Finger Chillies
Bile
Pancreas
Ginger (crushed or thinly sliced)
Onion (Sliced)
Garlic( crushed)
Salt
Magic Sarap
Sinigang Mix ( Calamansi Juice)
Ground Pepper
Procedure :
Clean the internal organs first. In a large pot, put the internal organs togethe
r with some crushed ginger, and pepper corns. Add water. Let it boil. Discard th
e water after boiling. Let it cool
Slice the internal organs according to your own preferred size.
In another large pot, saute garlic, onion, and ginger. Mix the sliced internal o
rgans.Mix well. Add little salt, grounded pepper and magic sarap. Let it still f
or 1 minute,mix and and water. The water must not be too much or too less.
Add sinigang mix or calamansi juice. Adjust seasoning according to your own tast
e.
Add the bile little by little that way you can adjust the bitterness of your sou
p. Add salt if desired, add additional sinigang mix if needed.
Serve hot with rice!

Nilagang Baboy
This is a classic pinoy dish that you really want to try. This is very basic rec
ipe. All you have to do is to be patient preparing the ingredients. If you reall
y love what you do,you will never get bored or tired of doing it.
This is good specially during cold season. In this post, I do not have baguio be
ans as cabbage and potatoes are all I have that time. You can add other varietie
s of vegetables you like.

Ingredients :

Pork Liempo
Baguio Cabbage
Potatoes
Baguio Beans
Pork Broth Cubes
Medium Sized Onion (Quartered)
2 Cloves Garlic
Ground Pepper
Salt
Procedure :
Wash the pork and the vegetables well.
In a large pot, put the pork, and add generous amount of water covering the enti
re pork.Add ground pepper, little salt.
Let it boil. Do not cover the pork it will release the unwanted smell from the m
eat.
When the pot is boiling,add pork broth cubes, check if the meat is tender,add on
ion and garlic, adjust seasoning.
Add Potatoes. Make sure it is well cooked. Next add the baguio beans, lastly cab
bage. Do not overcook the vegetables, constantly check if your veggies not to be
overcooked.
Serve hot.
