“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the

ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of

life: and man became a living soul.” Gen.2:7.

“---out of it (the dust of the ground) wast thou taken;

for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”
Gne.3:19.

“---Thou takest away their breath, they die, and

return to their dust.”

Ps.104:29.

“If He set His heart upon man, if He gather unto

Himself His spirit and His breath; All flesh shall
perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.”
“In a moment shall they die.” Job 34:14,15,20.

“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and

the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
Eccl.12:7. The ‘spirit’ is the breath of life given to
Adam at creation.

It is very clear from the above texts that all the dead
are still in their graves. None have ascended into
heaven except Moses and Elijah, and those who were
resurrected along with Christ.

“The body without the spirit (breath of life) is dead.”

James 2:26.
In life, Job said, “All the while my breath is in me, and
the spirit of God is in my nostrils.” Job 27:3.

When Jesus Christ shall return to this earth with all

the holy angels – “all that are in the graves shall hear
His voice, and shall come forth.” John 5:28,29

Paul said, “Men and brethren, let me freely speak

unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead
and buried, and his sepulcher is with us unto this
day.” “For David is not ascended into the heavens.”
Acts 2:29,34.

Job said, “The grave is mine house: I have made my

bed in the darkness.”

Job.17:13,
“So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens
be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of
their sleep.” That is, until the return of Jesus Christ
in the clouds of heaven. Job 14:12.

When a man dies, “His breath goeth forth, he

returneth to his earth; in that day his thoughts
perish.” His thinking power and his memory have
ceased.

Ps.146:4.

“The physical organism of man is under the

supervision of God; but it is not like a clock, which is
set in operation, and must go of itself. The heart
beats, pulse succeeds pulse, breath succeeds breath,
but the entire being is under the supervision of God.
(1Cor.3:9; Acts 17:28). Each heart beat, each breath
is the inspiration of Him who breathed into the
nostrils of Adam the breath of life, - the inspiration of
the ever-present God, the Great I AM.”
“The Lord created man out of the dust of the earth.
He made Adam a partaker of His life, His nature.
There was breathed into him the breath of the
Almighty, and he became a living soul (being). Adam
was perfect in form – strong, comely, pure, bearing
the image of his Maker.”

“The fact that he (man) has for 6,000 years withstood

the ever increasing weight of disease and crime is
conclusive proof of the power of endurance with
which he was first endowed.” E.G.W. BC7., p.13,14.
