Vemulapally in Vemulapally Mandal of Nalgonda District sanctioned for an estimate cost of
"&inputs!d10&" Rs.25.00 lakhs was inspected by the Panchayat Raj Vig & QC Wing on dt.
"&inputs!d4&" 30.10.2013. This is the 1st inspection of the work".

2 Sets of Doors for Toilet Blocks is found un necessary, One Door is enough.

The Windows on Staircase should have been glazed windows to have more ventilations & Lighting.

g)

The size of Ventilators provided is 3'-0'' x 0'-6'', it is recommanded to provided ventilators


matching with Door/Windows width.

Review of the Quality Control Records maintained by Field Engineers at site

The QC Register is not submitted by the field officer during the inspection.

Measurements Verified at random over flooring of
steps and observed tread of 0.30m and rise of
0.15m
RCC (1:2:4) mix used for staircase.

General Observations:a

The rise and tread of steps are not constantly maintained.

The 3/4'' nosing on tread shall have been provided.

The waist slab is only 10mm thick , it should have been 15cm thick atleast.

As per National Building Code of India 2005 the minimum tread & rise shall be 300mm x 150mm
& width of stair to be 2.0M for institutional buildings and the risers shall be limited to 12 per flight

4" dia. PVC Pipes are should have been provided for efffective water drain out. It is desirable to
conserve rain water using suitable rain water harvesting techniques by roof water collection or
the rain-water pipes to be connected to a drain or sewer to the road gutter.
Further the rain water pipes at the scale of at least one pipe of 10 cm. diameter for every 40
sq.m. of roof area shall be provided and so arranged, jointed and fixed as to ensure that the rain
water is carried away from the building without causing dampness in any part of the walls.
Impervious coat of 20mm thick provided on slab but the slope for water drain out is not properly
executed..

As per National Building Code of India 2005, the Parapet shall not be less than 1.0 m and not

General Observations:a

The top finishings are not good. Proper rain water drain at single point out shall be provided.

The sun shades shall have been extended 6'' more than the windows size.

Th size of sun shade should have been tapered out side to 2'' thick.

Overall Observations:-

A ramp for physically handi capped persons shall be provided and it should not have a slope
greater than 1 in 20 or maximum of 1 in 12 for short distance up to 9.0m as per National Building
Code of India 2005
The overall workmanship is good.

The periferal sorroundings 2.0m in width all round the building shall be gravelled.

The Building rooms shall have minimum plinth height of 0.45mt. from ground level as per
National Building Code of India 2005
