The image uses natural harmonising colours. The

image is of a peacock feather taken close up on
the eyes of the feather. The Photographer has
cantered the images focus but has angled the
eye to be on a tilt, following the stem from corner
to corner. The feather is smooth with little texture
which the photography captured from tokening it
as a close up or macro. Viewers responded to this
images colours more then the object it self in the
image. The colours give off a cool and calming
feel from the mix of blues and hint of green.

This image of a simple road is effective

from the colours featured. The blue sky
and the red or orange of the road
complement each other as well as the
green of the trees. The photographer
has used the rule of thirds to capture a
stick giving the image some focus, but
also leaning lines to expand the view to
the rest of the image. The viewers eye is
first drawn to the stick and then to the
rest of the image making them take in
the image as a whole.

Warm colours
This image is a macro. The photographer has
centred the object and focused on the closest
part of the flower. By focusing on the smaller
parts and details of the object the
photographer captures an image viewers
commonly overlook. The photographer used
the natural colours of the flower to create a
warm blurred background that almost blends
with the focused image.

COOL COLOURS
This image uses colour to trick the eye. The
sand being white can trick the viewer into
thinking they are looking at snow. The boat has
been positioned according to the rule of thirds
and is also the main focus of the image. The
photographer has blurred the background
slightly but not enough for the background to
be unrecognisable. The viewer gets a cool
vibe from the image from the colour and light
used in the image.

Free choice
This image uses complementary colours to
create a great effect from a simple
subject or objects. The photographer has
also positioned the objects so the colours
complement and show the rule of thirds.
The viewers eyes are drawn to the image
because of the colours and how the
simplest of items can make a beautiful
image. The photographer has cut out any
background that would take away from
the main subject.
