Validation of the VIEWS Portfolio Reporting application for any enhancements/Defect fixes.

Details:

VIEWS Portfolio Reporting, abbreviated as VPR is J.P. Morgans flagship reporting platform that is used for
information reporting, inquiries, investment and transaction services. VPR application is used for generating reports,
scheduling the generation of reports for future date & time, customizing the reports based on users needs, adding user
defined filters and providing flexible delivery of reports.
All enhancements/upgradations on the VPR applications were carried out on a monthly release basis. These
enhancements required thorough functional as well as Regression testing on the application. On the Testing life cycle, we
were placed in the SIT phase of testing. Major enhancements include the Disclaimer project, WINS override and IE 8
Browser Certification testing.

Role /Responsibilities:

Study of System Design Specifications (SDS) and extracting the requirements.

Prepared Test coverage and Test Estimation documents.

Participation in the walkthrough and query resolution sessions of the requirement specs.

Balances and Trading Multi-Leg Options pages.

Details:
Few Performance issues were observed on the client side which required proper rectification to enhance
performance. To execute this enhancement, the complete code was migrated from GUI side to Server side. This
required a complete regression of all the affected areas and pages. The affected areas include the Users Account
Positions, Portfolio Positions/Investments & Account Balances pages.
Also there were some slight changes on the backend of Trading pages as part of which required a Regression
effort around Multi-Leg Options trading pages.
Role /Responsibilities:

Played the role of Test Lead driving the project till the Production Install.

Creation of Test plan highlighting the Inscope/Outscope/Risks items.

Description

Functional Validation of Content Library tool used by the Content Editor.

Details:
DCLe stands for Digital Content Library enterprise. Project was driven on Agile Methodology. All the Content created
on the web pages of the client were created using the Content Library tool used by the Content Editor. Two third party tools
were also used in the project namely Web Publisher and Site builder. Validation of the tool on different Iterations and
providing a defect free tool to the Content Editor for the creation of Content on Web pages. Validation included:
1. Creation of Components and Pages.
2. Association of Components to pages.
3. Adding Images, Documents and External/Internal links to Components/pages.
4. Sharing of Components on different levels (Application, Business Units and Enterprise level)

Small Enhancements around the OLTX application which was previously migrated from C++ to Java Struts Plus were
discovered and some Change Requests were finalized to be validated. These enhancements were around Bond Ladder
functionality (creating a ladder structure of more than one bond for different expiry periods) and Balances page of users
portfolio.
There were few customer encountered issues reported which were fixed and this fixes were required to be validated on the
application.

Details:
OLTX stands for Online Transactions which deals with all major trading pages of Fidelity Investments. Being one of
the largest brokerage firms in U.S, majority of their clients use this web application to perform the trading activity. Initial all
the trading pages were developed in C++ code. These codes were getting migrated into Java Struts plus code. As the code
was migrated into JAVA Struts +, a complete functional validation of all the trading pages stated above in the description was
required. Below stated are the roles & responsibilities performed during the course of the Release.
