From Germany they brought an instrument called Space Master, through that

instrument we can see artificial sky, stars and other planets on the Domes
screen (Gummata) even though if it is night, day or during rainy seasons.
Apart from that we can see the movements of these planets as well.
Is it true that earth moves in its own orbit? Does earth moves around the
sun? How day and night happens? Where sun will go during night time? What
do you mean by eclipse? What are the different planets and what is there in
that? How stars will die and give birth again? Like these kinds of questions
we get answer in Planetarium.
225 visitors can accommodate at once in planetarium. Guide will explain in
both English and Kannada languages. This planetarium has been driven by
Bangalore Association for Science Education (B.A.S.E)
In that building there are two auditoriums. Out of which one runs show called
World in the vision of artist and in another it runs show called Interesting
facts which happens on earth. If we attend these shows we can learn many
interesting activities which happens in the sky.

To watch the Birds and animals is a different feeling all together. Animals and
birds have two different world. Birds have its own food habits and its life style
is different from animals. There are different kinds of birds which we can see.
Some birds can sink(mulugu) very deeply, some will emigrate(valase
hogu), some will hunt(bete aadu) and some will run very fast.
Albatross is also a special kind of bird. its a sea bird. For food it searches in
sea and rest all time it will fly in the sky. Day and night it will fly on the sea,
searching for the food. It touches the land only once in two years. Its life span
is around 50years. It will fly around 60 to 70 lakhs kilometer in its life time.
Albatrosses have the largest wingspans(agalavaada rekke) of any bird in

the world, reaching up to 12 ft. Their long, narrow wings enable them to

glide(akashadalli telu) for thousands of miles on wind currents without
flapping(madachuvudu) their wings(rekke). Simply by angling their wings
and their flight path, albatrosses can use the variation in air speed and
direction near the waves to soar(ettarakke haaru) over the
oceans(samudra) and it can fly 100 kilometer per hour.
There are 12 species(prabedha) of albatross are found till now. Eight of 12
Albatross species are restricted to the Southern Ocean(dakshina kadalu).
Three of 12 Albatross species are restricted to the North Atlantic (uttara
golardha) and one spices are restricted to SAMABHAJAKA VRUTTA". Out of
thses spices three are very important, those are Wandering albatross,
Amsterdam albatross and They Royal albatross. The Albatross nests in large
colonies on island(Dveepa)s only during reproduction, that is while keeping
the eggs, that too will be for short term it will be on the island. They dont like
to spend time on land as they cant walk on the land easily. Both male and
female albatross incubate(kaavu kodu) the egg, they protect and clean their
chick(sanna mari) until it becomes eligible to fl after that parents wil leave
them and fly away. Once albatross chicks fledge, they do not return to land
for around 5 years, they come to land only during reproductin time.
Albatross food is fish and other aquatic animals(jala chara) such as
crabs(edi), squid and so on. It likes to have squid kind of aquatic animal as it
gives strength to fly high.
Albatross are threatned(upadrava) by human directly or indirectly, like oil
leakage in sea, long line fishing, trash and other debris(plastic muntada
tyajya). these birds will eat all these debris by thinking that it is the food and
dying.
We all have to try hard to save these birds.
