The Lost Hound

by Paravelous
version 1.2
Written in Tads 3.1.0
February 2015
The Lost Hound uses the usual stock of standard IF and AIF commands. You may Loo
k, Examine, occasionally Search things and so on.
Dialogue is carried out through a menu interface. To initiate, simply use the co
mmand "Talk to [Character]".
As usual, Sex has its own standard commands: Kiss, Touch/Rub, Lick and Fuck [Par
t].
Depending on the character, you may first have to perform some of these actions
before the rest become available.
The special command "Breathe" can be used to lower the main character's arousal
level in order to stall orgasm if desired.
There are very few items to be carried around in the game, mainly since you have
no pockets or inventory space where to store anything.
The gist of the combat system is:
-Use the "Attack/Kill"
ted.
If no direct object is
ically interpret it as
(so it's not necessary
do.)

command to hit enemies until their HP is completely deple

specified for the Attack command, the parser will automat
targeting whatever enemy is present at the moment
to specific "Attack Monster", simply typing "Attack" will

-The damage inflicted will depend on your own offensive strength and the enemies
' defense, while the hit chance depends on a similar calculation between your ac
curacy and the target's speed.
-Weapons need to be equipped for them to do any good (e.g. "Equip Rusted Sword")
and may be unequipped at any time (though there's frankly never a reason to do
so).
Should you attempt to equip one weapon while already using another one, the firs
t weapon will be automatically unequipped.
-Enemies are not just featureless blocks, they have individual appendages and bo
dy parts. While attacking certain bodyparts will serve no particular purpose
(in which case the game simply treats the command as if you meant to attack the
monster as a whole), it is possible to cripple certain parts of your enemies,
causing various results ranging from inability to perform certain actions to dec
reased stats.
-Spells, once learned, can be cast by using the "cast [spell]" or "cast [spell]
at [target]" command.
Be aware that the healing spell cannot be used on enemies, nor can the offensive
ones be used on yourself.
-IMPORTANT: the UNDO command is disabled during combat, nor can it be used to re
verse combat-related deaths.

This text can be pulled up at any moment during the game by using the "Help" or
"Readme" commands.
This game makes use of the following libraries:
-QTalk.t and related libraries by Greg Boettcher
-sex3.t and layered.t libraries by Sir Gareth (with some significant modificatio
ns/mangling of my own to make them functional)

Special Thanks to my beta testers, Spike Goat, Guillaume and NightShift, for the
ir invaluable feedback.
